Our idea is simple, but works

You won’t see fancy graphics in this presentation …

We’ll explain the idea clearly though, so read on …

LOCO (LOCO) is a tentative name, we’ll tell you what it means at the

end …

LOCO is a social app … it’s not a game.

It’s an app for making friends, but …

We’re NOT planning something like Facebook or Twitter …

LOCO is more like Skout or Tinder, but we’ll add a twist

LOCO is aiming to match users for language exchange.

Ask yourself, what’s the best way to learn a language?

Buying books? Going to schools? No ….

Our belief:

The best way of learning language is by making ‘friends’ who speak that

language.

Feel free to interpret ‘friends’ as boyfriends or girlfriends, so you

know, that’s why it works, hehee …

How to match users? Simple, match by language!

For example

User A, speaks Chinese and English, wants to learn Japanese

User B, speak Japanese and English, wants to learn Chinese

User A & B is a match!

They can start chatting, who knows what will end up … hehee

Users can actively search, or let LOCO to notify you whenever the

system finds you a match ! ♥

You may ask, are there similar apps in the market?

Yes, there are some. If you search ‘language exchange’ on Google Play for instance, you’ll see quite a few.

One of the best ones is called HelloTalk, it has 100-500k installs,

rating is 4.1. The matching algorithm is nearly the same as what we

intended to do, but …

Most of these apps focus on learning language, but LOCO focuses on

matching and chatting, it’s not a tool, it’s a fun app to make friends!

Like in HelloTalk, when you start chatting, you’ll see rules like this:

In LOCO, there are no rules. We don’t care about your intention.

So yes, our idea is simple. That’s it? No ...

Apart from ‘Matching by language’, LOCO has another key feature, we

tentatively call it ‘Community’.

Community is a place where you can ask questions towards a particular culture, let users who are familiar

with that culture to provide you the best answer.

For example

You're planning a trip to Tokyo in summer, you'd like to know what are the best matsuri (祭り ) in summer

time.

You can go to the Japanese Zone in Community, like how a forum

works.

Our belief:

What’s better than getting an answer from local people?

Community enables users to interact with each one another,

and most importantly …

It’s a place to discover more friends, and let users to discover you!

We’ll skip the boring details here, like registration, location by GPS,

monetization etc etc.

interest towards a culture.
