INDUCED POLARIZATION SURVEY
INTRODUCTION
During the month of July, 1983. an Induced Polarization (I.P.) survey was carried out on part of the claim group held by Devonshire Gold Resources Inc. in Dent Township, Red Lake raining division, Ontario. The following claims were wholly or in part covered by the survey:
589W, 589502, 589507 and 58950858912 to 58915 inclusive623151 to 62315^ inclusive73206/t.The purpose of the survey was to outline
areas of weakness or disseminated sulphides associated with gold mineralization along a volcanic-intrusive contact.
The field crew involved in the survey included Mike Labchuk, Brent Gill and Marc Asselin.
DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY
The Devonshire Gold Resources Inc. property consists of a contiguous group of twenty-five (25) mining claims comprising a total area of approximately one thousand (1,000) acres. They are recorded with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources under the
- 2 -
following numbers:area (acres)

Total area - 1 ,000 acres
LOCATION AND ACCESS
The claims are located in Dent township in northwestern Ontario and just west of the northern part of Confederation Lake. Confederation Lake is about 50 miles east of the mining community of Red Lake.
Access to Confederation Lake is achieved by means of a well kept secondary road extending about 40 miles northeast of the town of Ear Falls. The Red Lake highway (#105) passes through Ear Falls about 62 miles north of Vermilion Bay on highway #17) a few miles west of the town of Dryden.
The mining claims described in this report can be reached by boat from the road; a matter of a three or four mile boat ride across Confederation Lake.
PREVIOUS worn.
The Devonshire claim group includes ground previously held by New Rouillard Gold Mines Ltd., and Patricia Dent Gold Mines Ltd., who put down two small shafts and prospected and trenched the area during the 1930's. Twelve or thirteen short diamond drill holes were also drilled, but there is no record of the results of this work.
During 1970, a magnetometer and E.M. survey was done by the Red Lake Syndicate.
- 3 -
PMV3 PU S WUfSl (Coni'd)
During 1973. Shebo Mines Limited held nine teen claims which included most of the present group. The property was mapped geologically and nine gold showings were sampled. A magnetometer and EM survey was recommended by J.D. Mcconnell to be followed by diamond drilling, but the recommendations were not carried out.
The claims were optioned by St. Joseph Exploration Ltd., who did some horizontal loop and VLF EM during the Winter of 1975-6 and then dropped the option.
No more work has been done on the property until 1983 by Devonshire Gold Resources Inc.
SURVEY DESCRIPTION
Base Line "O" was established from "O" North to 5300 North. A second base line was cut at 1/fOO East from 5300 North to 7600 North. Cross lines were cut every 400 feet and picketed every 100 feet. The total length of lines cut was 4.2 miles.
The IP survey was carried out with a Crone N-10 IP receiver and Crone 2^0 Watt transmitter. A dipole - dipole array was used with an 'a' spacing of 100 feet and readings were taken at 'n' values of l, 2 and 3* A total of 465 readings were taken along 3*96 miles of line.
Plan maps of the chargeability and resistivity for each value of 'n 1 can be found in the pockets at the back of this report.
RESULTS
The results outline five zones of high chargeability labelled A, B, C, D and E on maps l and 2.
Figure 2 shows an overall positive correla tion between chargeability and resistivity. It also shows, however, that the high chargeabilities are associated with resistivities, which range from 1000 to 10000 ohm - metres.
Zones A and B strike north - northeast along the east side of the survey area. They are character ized by weak chargeability anomalies and high resist ivity. Zone B is discontinuous, separated by areas of low resistivity and low chargeability. Both of these zones include showings which were worked in the 1930's.
Zones C. D and E strike north and north - northwest along the west side of the survey area. These zones are reflexed by higher chargeabilities and more varied resistivities, although the resistivity is quite high on most of the lines. Anomaly E on Lines 3200 North and 2800 North has the highest chargeabilities and continuity to depth.
CONCLUSIONS
An IP survey carried out on Devonshire Gold Resources' Dent Township property in July 1983 outlined five zones of disseminated mineralization. Gold showings worked in the 1930's lie within two of the weaker zones. Geological examinations in the area of the other three zones may help explain the source of the high chargeabilities along these zones. All these represent good drill targets.
.DIAMOND DRILL PROGRAM.
Eleven diamond drill holes were drilled to make a total footage of 2,862 feet.
The first five holes were drilled across the T.P. anomalies to attempt to determine a relation ship between the gold mineralization and the zones of disseminated sulphides. The l^st six holes were drilled to check for mineralization in the shaft areas.
The holes are plotted on the I.P. planst, and the Hogs and sections of each hole are included at the back of the report.
DRILL RESULTS
Drill holes #1 and #2 were drilled to cut anomaly "E", #3 cut anomaly "B", #4 cut anomaly "D" and #5 cut anomaly "A" (see I.P. plans Nsl). In all cases, zones of increased disseminated sulphides were cut in the drill holes, indicating that the I.P. survey has outlined the zones of increased sulphide minerali zation, however gold values are not associated with the sulphides.
Diamond drill hole #6 was drilled to cut the mineralization about 200 feet below the collar of the old shaft in claim KRL 623151. At a depth of 2/fO feet and down to 256 in hole #6, a carbonated and brecciated rusty zone yielded a gold assay of 0.62 oz, gold/ton over a core length of 5 feet. Hole #9, drilled one hundred feet south, cut the carbonate zone, but the gold value of 0.20 oz./ton is contained in a quartz vein within the zone. Hole #10 was drilled one hundred feet north of hole #6, but the zone was not intersected
- 6 -
,DHILL RESULTS (Cont'd)
in this hole, suggesting that it has been faulted and displaced north of hole #6. Hole #11 was drilled about one hundred and fifty feet south of hole #9; the carbonate zone was cut in this hole but the gold values have decreased to 0.001 oz./ton.
CONCLUSIONS
Gold values on the property have been located in a brecciated and carbonated zone striking slightly east of north and located in claim KRL 623151* The best values were intersected in Diamond drill hole #6 about 200 feet below the surface and below the old mine shaft on the claim. This intersection suggests that the values may be increasing with depth and deeper holes would prove or disprove this theory.
Also the zone appears to be cut off to the north, but while the values seem to decrease to the south, the brecciated carbonate zone continues for at least 250 feet. A localized VLF survey over this zone and to the south would possibly give information as to the southward extent. This zone carries interesting gold values and more v/ork should be done in this area.
- 7 -
To further explore the carbonate zone, the following is recommended:1.
2.
A detailed VL.F survey across the carbonate zone should be extended to the south to attempt to locate it in this area. The survey north of the shaft should be designed to locate any lateral displacement of the zone. This should be followed by a limited diamond drill program to try to extend the gold values to depth as well as laterally.

Notice of Intent
for Technical Reports
1985 02 12
2.6747/84-30
An examination of your survey report indicates that the requirements of The Ontario Mining Act have not been fully met to warrant maximum assessment work credits. This notice is merely a warning that you will not be allowed the number of assessment work days credits that you expected and also that in approximately 15 days from the above date, the mining recorder will be authorized to change the entries on his record sheets to agree with the enclosed statement. Please note that until such time as the recorder actually changes the entry on the record sheet, the status of the claim remains unchanged.
If you are of the opinion that these changes by the mining recorder will jeopardize your claims, you may during the next fifteen days apply to the Mining and Lands Commissioner for an extension of time. Abstracts should be sent with your application.
If the reduced rate of credits does not jeopardize the status of the claims then you need not seek relief from the Mining and Lands Commissioner and this Notice of Intent may be disregarded.
If your survey was submitted and assessed under the "Special Provision-Performance and Coverage" method and you are of the opinion that a re-appraisal under the "Man-days" method would result in the approval of a greater number of days credit per claim, you may, within the said fifteen day period, submit assessment work breakdowns listing the employees names, addresses and the dates and hours they worked. The new work breakdowns should be submitted direct to the Land Management Branch, Toronto. The report will be re-assessed and a new statement of credits based on actual days worked will be issued.
