Commissioner Temmel has been a resident of the Village for sixteen years and hasserved two terms on the board of commissioners, serving as president four times .He works for the Economist Newspapers as advertising manager and he and hiswife Kathleen have five children: Kathleen, joella, j anet, Mark, and jeanne.. Heis a member of St. Gerald parish and Holy Name Society; johnson-Phelps V.f .W.Post; is a director of the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce; Publicity chairman forBoy Scouts of America and member of the Oak Lawn Llons.Club, He served in theEuropean Theatre during World War 2. He is a graduate of De LaSalle Institute.

Jerome Lewandowski - Term Expires 1969

Commissioner Lewandowski has been a resident of the Village since 1947 and he andhis wife Madelyn have a son Ken Kllinski. He is serving his second term on thepark board.A veteran of World War 2, he is a member of the Green Oaks Post 757,American Legion and the jolmson-Phelps V.F.W. Post; St. Gerald's parish and HolyName Society. He served ten years as a director of the Oak Lawn Community Chestand ten years with Oak Lawn Bas eball for Boys . He also helped organize the Nor­thwest Homeowners Association.

He and his wife Margaret have four children, Mary AnneUnderhill, Gwynne Simpson, Frank Cole 111 and BethCole. He is owner of TravelUnl1m1ted, Inc. at 5710 W. 95th st. He is a member, past president and director ofthe Oa k Lawn Lions Club; member of Oak Lawn Seratorna Club; served six yra,as a member of the Oak Lawn Plan Commission and is a past member of the Ad­visory Board, Oak Lawn Rainbow for Girls. He attends St. Raphael Episcopal Church

and is a past pres ident of the Park board.

Commissioner Dillon, a resident of Oak Lawn for seventeen years is owner of"The Hearth" Fireplace Furnishings store in Chica go. He is serving his third te­rm on the board of commissioners and has been president four times. He and hiswife, Martha, have two children: Kathleen Jane Winters and Patrick Michael 14. Ason, Thomas John , is deceased. He is a past president of the Beverly Lawn CivicAssociation; member and Charfman of the Board of Deacons of the First Congre­gational Church of Oak Lawn and has also served as treasurer and two terms on theBoard of Trustees, He is a pas t chairman of Cub Pack 1682, Boy Scouts of Americaand past president of the Oak Lawn Lions Club; past member of the Oak Lawn YouthCommission and member of the Oak Lawn Plan and Development Commiss ion.

Commissioner Nebel has been a resident of the Village for 15 years and he and hiswife WUla have three daughters. Carol 17, Joan 13, and Amy 4. A resident of the VUlage since 1928, Mrs . Bennett has served as secretary of theboard since 1954. She is Editor of the Oak Lawn Independent and before that had work­ed as a secretary at Swift & Co.; executive secretary at the Whiting Corp. and atthe Dodge plant. She is a member of the First Congregational Church of Oak Lawn;is a member and past president of the J ohnson-Phelps V.F.W. Auxili ary; assist­ant conductress of the Third D1str1ct Ladies Auxiliary, V.F.W.; co - chairman atOak Forest Hospital for the Department of Illinois, Ladies Aux1l1ary V.F.W.; Mem­ber of the Park Lawn School for Mentally Retarded Children Parents Assn.; pastpresident of the Oak Lawn Fire Department Women's Auxiliary and past officerof the Oak Lawn Police Wives Auxinary, She and her husband James, have a dau­ghter Susan who is a student at St. Mary of Providence School for Exceptional gi_rls.

The District being tax supported, derives its revenue from a I¢ per $100 on assessed valuationCorporate tax levy, and has no bonded indebtedness. The Park Board of Commissioners realize thatin 0 rder to expand the recreation program, it will be necessary to ask for a 1f2¢ per $100 assessedvaluation recreation tax levy (5 mils) to provide for the special services - artS and crafts, swimminginstructors, tennis instructions, etc.

4. Swimmers are not permitted to wear their suits to the pool.

5. Season ticket holders must display their token before entering the pool.

6. A parent must be present when purchasing a fami Iy season ticket.

7. Students may purchase only individual tickets.

8. Patrons must present positive proof of residency when purchasing season tickets and/or park districtidentification tokens.

9. Children under six years of age do not need tokens and must be accompanied by a parent in the pool.

10. When attendance warrants, two swim periods will be held in the afternoon. Season ticket holderswill be given priority over daily fee patrons.

11. FAMILY SWIM - No children admitted unless accompanied by their parent. Adults will be consideredas those who have completed their schooling.

INSTRUCTIONAL CLASSES

(All participants must be able to stand in the shallow part of the pool)

We will offer the complete YMCA program of swimming, aimed primarily at beginners, but carrying throughto advanced swimming.

Lessons will cover a two week period. Eight lessons - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of both weeks.Days of inclement weather will be made up, if possible. No refunds after the first lesson. Nomake-up for any other reason.

Schedule: 8 lessons; two consecutive weeks, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of each week.Fees: $2.00 for season ticket holders per 2 week session.

$4.00 for non-season ticket holders per 2 week session.

OTHER INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES

Adult Swim Lessons - Tuesday and Thursday evenings - 9:00 to 9:45 p.m.Life Saving - YMCA and Red Cross Synchronized SwimmingScuba Fancy DivingCompetitive Swimming Water Polo

The above classes will be offered is there is a sufficient number to warrant the class. For furtherinformation concerning fees and time, call the pool office .
