Step 1

• I started by creating facing pages in Quark Xpress.

• I then created 3 columns within my text box, to make it within the codes and conventions.

Step 2

• After importing my text I inserted image boxes.

• The images help to improve the overall effectiveness if the magazine.

Step 3

• I changed the size if the text to it is within the codes and conventions.

• This also helps make it look more professional.

Step 4

• I created a drop cap to improve the overall appearance.

• The drop cap is used to meet the codes and conventions.

• I also added drop quotes to help entice the reader.

Step 5

• To improve the look of the text, I made it more interesting and stand out by making the text bold.

Step 6

• I made the images more suitable by cropping them- this also helped me fit all the text onto the pages.
