  • APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONSSUBSTRATE QUALITY

Mortar and concrete must be at the requiredstrength. No need to be 28 days old.

Substrate strength (concrete, masonry, naturalstone) must be verified.

Pull-out tests must be carried out if the substratestrength is unknown.

The anchor hole must always be clean, dry, free fromoil and grease etc.

Loose particles must be removed from the holes.Threaded rods and rebars have to be cleaned thor-oughly from any oil, grease or any other substancesand particles such as dirt etc.

    MIXING

Getting the cartridge ready: 300 ml / 550 ml1. Unscrew the cap

    2. Cut the film

    3. Screw on the staticmixer

    4. Place the cartridge in-to the gun and start ap-plication

When the work is interrupted the static mixer can re-main on the cartridge after the gun pressure has beenrelieved. If the resin has hardened in the nozzle whenwork is resumed, a new nozzle must be attached.

Anchors in solid masonry / concreteDrilling of hole with anelectric drill to the dia-meter and depth re-quired. Drill hole diamet-er must be in accordancewith anchor size.

The drill hole must becleaned with a blowpump or by compressedair, starting from the bot-tom of the hole. (at least2x)Important: use oil-freecompressors.

The drill hole must bethoroughly cleaned withthe special steel brush(brush at least 2x). Thediameter of the brushmust be larger than thediameter of the drill hole.

  • Anchors in hollow blocksDrilling of hole with anelectric drill to the dia-meter and depth re-quired. Drill hole diamet-er must be in accordancewith anchor-and perfor-ated sleeve size.Note: with hollow materi-al do not use rotary ham-mer drills.

The drill hole must bethoroughly cleaned with around brush (brush atleast 1x). The diameter ofthe brush must be largerthan the diameter of thedrill hole.

The drill hole must becleaned after each clean-ing step with a blowpump or by compressedair, starting from the bot-tom of the hole (pump atleast 1x).Important: use oil-freecompressors.

Insert perforated sleevecompletely into the drillhole.

Pump approx. twice untilboth parts come out uni-formly. Do not use thismaterial. Release the gunpressure and clean thecartridge opening with acloth.

Inject the adhesive intothe perforated sleeve, starting from the bottom, while slowly drawing backthe static mixer. In anycase avoid entrapping air.

Close the cap from theperforated sleeve toavoid some escape of theresin during entering thesteel rod.

Insert the anchor with arotary motion into thefilled perforated sleeve.Use the adequate steelrod size.Important: the anchormust be placed within theopen time.

During the resin harden-ing time the anchor mustnot be moved or loaded.Wash tools immediatelywith Sika Colma Cleaner.Wash hands and skinthoroughly with warmsoap water.

    CLEANING OF TOOLS
