Producers and Finances of film

Fish TankThe opening two minutes of fish tank show titles to show who produced or put finance into the making of the film. The Director for this film was Andrea Arnold.

1)The opening title is the BBC films company which shows that this company had the most importance in making the film maybe through advertising the film or putting money into it so they came on first in the film to show there importance.

2)The second title is the UK film council and the national lottery which both also put finance into the film and they might not have had the most importance into the film but they did contribute money into the film so they was credited.

In the opening to Brassed off there was four titles used and two production companies; Miramax films, channel four films and prominent features.

1)The first title is Miramax films which suggests this is the most important as it is first and compered to the other titles it seem to have its own design which also suggests it put the most money or put the most into the film. This is the biggest producer.

2)The second title is channel four films and this title seem to have less importance as the title does not stand out as much this shows that channel four films did not put as much into the film as Miramax. In this title Miramax is also put first so it this shows again that it has a big importance. Channel four did still have a big part of Brassed off and put a lot of work into it.

3) The third title is a Mark Herman film this shows who directed the film Brassed off and is first on the names list of people who are involved with the film separated from the production companies.

4)The fourth title is the Steve Abbott, prominent features title which shows who also had a part of the film but as his name was last this suggests he did not have as much importance but still had a part.

In the film Billy Elliot there was two production companies used. The director for this film was Stephen Daldry.

1) The first title used in this film was working title films and this was the first title used which shows importance as it was put first at the start of the film to show importance. They could of gained the most importance by putting the most money into it or other factors.

2) The second production company was BBC films and they where put second maybe because they did not put as much into it as working title films but still had a part in the production of the film. Also as this is a British film they would have money from BBC films as they do put money into films .
