Processing Router

Router crates are delivered Monday—Friday to Tobin Library.

These crates contain items that Tobin Library patrons have requested.

Router crates are processed as soon as possible once delivered to ensure excellent customer service.

The following tutorial will guide you through the steps necessary to process router items.

STEP 1

Open a crate and unpack contents onto a cart. Fill only the top two shelves.

STEP 2

Remove the packing slips from each item and place into recycling bucket.

STEP 3

Log-in to a staff computer and open Millennium.

STEP 4

Place one item on the 3M pad.

STEP 5

Print the slip that is generated.

STEP 6

Place the slip in the item with the name visible out the bottom.

Place the item back onto the cart, alphabetized by the patron’s last name.

STEP 8

Shelve the holds with alphabetically by patron last name on the Holds Shelf.
