KENNETH W. ABRAMS/PAUL W. KIMBROUGH ENDOWMENTFor full-time African-American students majoring in political science or business with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Consideration may be given to financial need.

ALG (ARKLA/CENTERPOINT) SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students who are children of present or former Arkansas Louisiana Gas (Arkla/CenterPoint) employees. Selection based on academic record and financial need. Requires a high school GPA of 3.0 or college GPA of 2.5 or above.

D. RICHARD ARNOLD/CONWAY CORPORATION SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students who graduated from a high school in the city of Conway, Arkansas (or, if home schooled, resided in the service area of Conway Corporation at the time of graduation) and have an ACT of 21 or above and high school GPA of 2.75 or above. Consideration may be given to financial need. Children of Conway Corporation Board of Directors are ineligible for consideration.

DR. BOB AND JANIS PURTLE BANISTER SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students majoring in music or science. Selection shall be based on financial need and academic performance.

CHARLES AND NADINE BAUM SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time entering freshmen, transfer, or non-traditional students who demonstrate financial need. Entering freshmen criteria: GPA of 2.75 or above and ACT score of 21-23 (24 or above if not receiving a UCA academic scholarship). Transfer student criteria: satisfactory completion of 30 hours or more from another institution and GPA of 3.0 or above. Non-traditional student (age 25 or above) criteria: satisfactory completion of 12 hours or more and GPA of 3.0 or above.

BAXLEY FAMILY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPFor UCA freshman students who will complete 30 hours by the end of their freshman year. Student shall demonstrate financial need and good character with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Student must be a resident of Arkansas and have graduated from an Arkansas high school. Student must be ineligible for Federal Aid and rely upon student loans and/or family for financial assistance.

ELIZABETH BAILEY BENTON SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students majoring in mathematics or natural sciences with a GPA of 3.0 or above. First preference given to active members (two year minimum) of Conway First Presbyterian Church.

BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF CENTRAL ARKANSAS SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students who are, or have been, active participants in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas program and who are in good academic standing. Consideration shall be given to financial need.

HERBY BRANSCUM, JR. SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students from Arkansas with preference given to first-generation college students from Perry or Stone County. Selection based on a high school GPA of 2.5 or above, with preference given to entering freshmen and students receiving no other scholarships.

BURDICK/MCALISTER SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students majoring in geography or business who are U. S. citizens and demonstrate financial need. Selection based on ACT of 24 or above and GPA of 2.75 or above.

TOM BURNETT LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students with a GPA of 2.75 or above. Selection based on leadership and academic performance. Consideration may be given to financial need.

GLADYS CHASEY LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time entering freshmen with leadership skills and a high school GPA of 2.75 or above. Consideration may be given to financial need.

CONQUE FAMILY SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students with a GPA of 2.5 or above and who demonstrate financial need. First preference shall be given to business majors.

CONWAY CANCER FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students with a GPA of 2.75 or above. First preference given to students who have been a patient or who have a family member treated by Conway Hematology Oncology. Second preference given to students pursuing a degree within the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences. Consideration may be given to financial need.

ELIZABETH WIGGS CARTER SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time undergraduate students with a GPA of 2.5 or above. First preference shall be given to descendants of Elizabeth Wiggs Carter. Consideration may be given to financial need.

WILL COUNTS JOURNALISM SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students majoring in journalism who have completed 60 hours or more with a GPA of 2.5 or above. Consideration shall be given to financial need.

MELISSA A. COURTWAY SCHOLARSHIPFor students who are single parents with a GPA of 2.5 or above. If no such eligible student is found, then this scholarship may be awarded to a non-traditional student. Consideration may be given to financial need.

TOM COURTWAY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPFor students attending UCA. Selection based on UCA Foundation Scholarship Committee criteria, to be determined annually.

CROW/WHITE EDUCATION AWARDFor full-time undergraduate students with a high school GPA of 2.0 or above or a college GPA of 2.5 or above; financial need may be considered. First preference shall be given to descendants of the John D. and Flora Boyd Crow family or the William C. and Mary Seay White family. Second preference shall be given to students who reside in Phillips or Faulkner County (Arkansas).

JAMES R. AND ELIZABETH STOUT DAILEY SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students who demonstrate financial need with a GPA of 2.5 or above. First preference given to students who plan to major in education and teach.

G. A. AND JEAN DAVIDSON SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students who are U. S. citizens born in Arkansas with an ACT of 26 or above and a high school GPA of 3.0 or above. First preference given to entering freshmen from Jacksonville High School who plan to major in early childhood education or business education and teach. DIXIE BAND CAMP SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students who are members of the UCA band and have attended the Dixie Band Camp. Preference may be given to music majors. Consideration may be given to financial need.

GRAYDON AND BONNIE BEARDEN DODSON SCHOLARSHIP For sophomores, juniors or seniors with a GPA of 3.25 or above who demonstrate strong financial need. Recipient shall be a student who has completed the requirements from an Arkansas high school or if home schooled is a resident of Arkansas.

DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students with a GPA of 2.75 or above. Selection shall be based on financial need and academic performance.

JIMMY AND CLEDA DRIFTWOOD SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students who demonstrate financial need. Preference (in descending order) given to the following majors: music, poetry or history.

FAYDEAN DUNEVANT SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time female African-American students who are residents of Faulkner County (Arkansas) and majoring within the College of Fine Arts and Communication. The recipient shall be an active member of their church with preference given to a student involved in the church’s music program. Selection shall be based on financial need and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

BILL AND BENEVA FARRIS SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time entering freshmen from Faulkner County (Arkansas) with a high school GPA of 2.75 or above who manifest academic seriousness and discipline; demonstrate sound moral character and personal maturity. Consideration may be given to financial need.

H. M. FIRESTONE & FAMILY SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students with a GPA of 2.75 or above. Selection shall be based on financial need and academic performance.

JOHN M. GARNER AND BOBBIE GARNER FLOYD SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students with preference given to Wynne High School, Cross County High School or a high school in one of these Arkansas counties: Cross, Greene, Poinsett, St. Francis, or Woodruff. Selection based on ACT of 24 or above and a high school GPA of 3.0 or above, with preference given to entering freshmen and students receiving no other UCA funded scholarships.

ARCH FORD ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time rising sophomore students who are in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.5 or above. Students must have graduated from an Arkansas high school and be PELL grant eligible. Preference shall be given to first generation college students.

DONIS W. FORD MEMORIAL BOOK SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time junior or senior African-American students majoring in English, African-American Studies or Writing with a GPA of 3.0 or above. Consideration may be given to financial need.

FOUNDATION GENERAL SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students with a GPA of 2.75 or above. Selection shall be based on financial need and academic performance.

ROBERT W. “BOB” GATES SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students currently employed within the University of Central Arkansas Public Safety and/or working as an Emergency Medical Technician in Faulkner County (Arkansas). VIRGINIA LOVELL HIGHTOWER SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students with a GPA of 2.75 or above. Selection based on financial need and academic performance.

JIM AND KAY HINKLE SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students from a Stone County (Arkansas) high school. Selection based on ACT of 24 or above and GPA of 2.75 or above. Consideration shall be given to financial need.

ANGELA FRENCH HOFFMANS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPFor students in good academic standing majoring in education at UCA and who graduated from Bryant (Arkansas) High School.

HOLLOWAY/HICKS SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time entering freshmen with first preference given to African-American students from Monroe County (Arkansas). Second preference given to Arkansas African-American students. Selection based on high school GPA of 2.5 or above and financial need.

CAROLYN MANN “EAST” INITIATIVE SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time entering freshmen with first preference given to Arkansas residents who participated in a high school EAST Initiative program and who exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit. Consideration shall be given to financial need. A letter of recommendation from your EAST facilitator is required.

ROBERT M. MCLAUCHLIN GRADUATE EDUCATION MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students who are U. S. citizens and enrolled in a graduate program at UCA. Preference shall be given to Arkansas residents. Selection based on academic performance, financial need, school and community involvement.

Preference shall be given to students from Arkansas High School. Second preference shall be given to any high school student from Texarkana (Arkansas). Selection based on ACT of 24 or above and high school GPA of 2.75 or above. Consideration may be given to financial need.

PAUL MOORE SCHOLARSHIPFor entering freshmen or non-traditional students with a GPA of 2.5 or above. First preference shall be given to full-time entering freshmen students and second preference shall be given to non-traditional students who are registered for a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester. Consideration shall be given to financial need.

ROBIN NIX SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students who are members of the UCA tennis team or band. Consideration may be given to financial need.

MISS EUGENIA M. OLIVER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time junior or senior female students under the age of 23 with 60 hours or more completed at UCA. Preference given to St. Francis County (Arkansas) graduates. Selection shall be based on financial need, potential and academic performance.

MARIE AND WALTER SCHAFFHAUSER SCHOLARSHIP For full-time students who are graduates of a Phillips County (Arkansas) high school. First preference given to graduates of Marvel Academy.

JAMES W. AND PEGGY SCHNEIDER SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students with a GPA of 2.75 or above. Selection may be based on financial need and academic performance.

PAM SNIDER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time female, junior, senior or graduate students with financial need and a GPA of 2.5 or above. First preference shall be given to students of American Indian descent. Second preference shall be given to students majoring in elementary education and third preference given to students majoring in psychology or counseling.

JAMES TAYLOR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPFor students who demonstrate financial need with a GPA of 2.5 or above. Selection shall be based on financial need and academic performance.

TEMPLETON SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time undergraduate students with a GPA of 3.0 or above. Consideration shall be given to financial need.

JOHN AND BETTY WARD SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time students majoring in journalism. Requires completion of 60 hours or more and cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above. Selection shall be based on financial need, potential and academic performance.

UNIVERSITY WOMEN’S BOOK SCHOLARSHIPFor non-traditional female students in a degree program. Consideration may be given to financial need.

HANK ADAMS SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time undergraduate students in good academic standing, with a declared major, who are U. S. citizens. Must be a resident of Arkansas or be the child/grandchild of a former student completing 60 or more hours at UCA or a graduate of UCA. Preference is given to students who do not qualify for or receive other academic scholarships or grants and demonstrate financial need.

AFRICAN-AMERICAN SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time African-American first-year students who graduated from a high school in Ashley, Drew, Union, Desha, Phillips, Chicot, St. Francis, or Jefferson County (Arkansas), have an ACT of 21 or above and a high school GPA of 3.25 or above. Proof of financial need and a 200-300 word essay explaining the impact the recipient will have on African-American culture at UCA required.

ALUMNI GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP AND ENDOWMENTFor full-time undergraduate students with 60 or more hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Consideration may be given toward a child or grandchild of a graduate of UCA, financial need, and demonstrated leadership and service at UCA.

MARVIN BISHOP MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time undergraduate students who have completed 30 or more hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, and who are residents of the state of Arkansas. Preference is given to Cherokee descendants. Consideration may be given to financial need.

HARVEY A. BUFFALO SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time undergraduate students with 12 hours or more completed at UCA and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Consideration will be given to applicants with 24 or more hours completed at UCA. Applicant must demonstrate dependence upon their own efforts, in whole or in part, to fund their education.

DAVID AND LAURA GRIMES SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time entering freshmen and current UCA students who are graduates of Conway or Springdale Public Schools with a high school GPA of 2.5 or above. Preference is given to descendants of David and Laura Grimes and their siblings. Consideration may be given to financial need.

B. A. LEWIS GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time undergraduate students who have been accepted into graduate school or who have completed 6 or more graduate hours at UCA with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.

MELISSA METHENY SCHOLARSHIPFor undergraduate students majoring in business, music, nursing or education who are from Faulkner County (Arkansas) with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. Preference given to relatives of the Melissa Metheny family.

H. L. MINTON SCHOLARSHIPFor full-time undergraduate students who have completed 60 or more hours at UCA. Must be a resident of Arkansas or be the child/grandchild of a former student completing 60 or more hours at UCA or a graduate of UCA.

JAN A. NEWCOMER AFA ENDOWMENTFor undergraduate students who are current members of the Association of Future Alumni (AFA) and are in good academic standing. Consideration may be given to financial need.
