• The Council on the Ageing (Australia) Facilitated regional and global meetings on health and ageing and supported our access to leading ageing and health academics in Australia.

• ALA Dominicana (Dominican Republic) Provided a base in Dominica and logistical support for our work in Haiti.

• The Coalition of Services of the Elderly, COSE (Philippines) Organised network workshops on communications in emergencies

• Vietnam Association of the Elderly Co-hosted and co-funded a regional meeting of older people’s association leaders.

• Senior Citizens’ Association of Zambia, HelpAge Kenya and HelpAge Ghana Supported our Linking Lives development awareness programme in Europe.

• Our Global Ambassadors speak at events such as the global meeting of the International Federation on Ageing in Australia and the regional Red Cross review in Vienna and the UN Open Ended Working Group on Ageing. The seven ambassadors are recognised internationally as experts on ageing.

Leadership in the network

• Age UK It advocated for the inclusion of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the DEC list of countries experiencing complex political emergencies. They have also committed over £1 million in 2011-2012 to build our work in fragile states and have made significant investment in public fundraising activities for international work.

• Tsao Foundation Led on the formulation of regional self-care initiatives in East Asia, submitting proposals on behalf of partners in the region.

• European and US Affiliates HelpAge Germany, World Granny and HelpAge USA helped to raise funds for our work on emergencies, social pensions and income security.

• Cordaid, Netherlands have a joint partnership to respond and develop policy on income security and social protection in South Asia and East Africa, and they have mobilised funding from the Dutch Government on our behalf for this purpose.
