A WORD FROM THE CHAIRMAN
& CEO
At GEPS Techno, we believe that the oceans
are the reserve of energy for the future, the
marine environment demands the best of
marine technology in terms of simplicity,
reliability and compatibility with the
ecosystem and we also believe that the most
effective solution for our customers is based
on the adequacy of our solutions with their
habits in terms of energy needs and
deployment locations.
By being attentive to the environment and by
implementing an innovative strategy
compared to usual ones, today we are
developing power generation and offshore
autonomy solutions for tomorrow.
With its innovative technologies and its
customer-oriented culture, GEPS Techno
intends to exploit the huge energy field of the
oceans in a cost effective and environment
friendly way.

GEPS Techno is an innovative start-up based in Saint-Nazaire (France) and specialized in the field of ship and platform hull stabilisation and energy autonomy at sea.
GEPS TECHNO FIND ITS ENERGY AT SEA 02
GEPS Techno was created in 2011 by three founders with extensive maritime experience (shipbuilding, research, boating, fish farming) and expertise in major project management. It develops and markets applications for energy autonomy at sea, mainly based on wave energy conversion, and stabilisation of the floating structures.
At the early beginning of the company, the founders designed the concept of MLiner, a 300 m long platform that recovers simultaneous four energy sources (wind, solar, wave and tidal) for an installed capacity of 60 MW.
Today the dream starts to become reality since the PH4S, an hybrid prototype combining these four energy sources, was launched in July 2015. Much smaller than the MLiner, it allows to produce 5 kW.
In parallel with the development of MLiner project, GEPS markets already two products coming from the development of its unique wave energy conversion technology:
energized platforms for applications on remote sites, R&D, monitoring and offshore industries ...
Ships or platforms stabilisation tank including or not energy harvesting system
GEPS Techno’s aims is to provide solutions to those seeking energy autonomy at sea.

THE MLINER GEPS FOUNDER CONCEPT 03
The MLiner, GEPS Techno founder concept is a compact mobile floating structure use to produce electric energy
from several energy sources (energetic mix) and to reassign to a power grid for onshore or offshore applications.
This concept has been imagine after a simple but revolutionary finding compared to the approach generally
observed in the field of marine renewable energy: installing several energy sources on a single platform reduces
the cost per kWh produced through infrastructures savings and the reduction of intermittent power generation.
THE ASSETS OF MLINER
Integration of the different power sources has led to synergistic benefits in the efficiency of the individual systems.
Recovery solution of the wave energy very innovative: no complex parts, internal system not exposed to the elements.
A scalable solution: the mobile and modular structure of the MLiner allows easy integration of new sources and storage.
Reduced installation and maintenance costs .
The energetic mix’s main benefits : smoothing production, sharing of infrastructure costs.
A design in line with current shipbuilding production methods.

,, As an addition to its primary function of stabilising the ship, GSIRE recovers energy from the roll and thus allows to reduce up to 3% of fuel consumption…
GSIRE was created during the development of the MLiner wave energy conversion concept in order to allow vessels
equipped with passive anti-roll stabilisers to reduce their fuel consumption.
Available for newbuilding or refit, the product GSIRE integrates simply with minimal volume or weight impact on all
ships and platforms fitted with passive stabilisation system.

R&D PROGRAMS : PH4S 1 SOLUTION, 4 ENERGIES 05
The PH4S program is currently in test in the harbour of Brest since july 2015. This energized platform has the
distinctive features to combine 4 sources of energy : wind, sun, waves and tidal flow. These 4 sources are
complementary: one system improves the yield of another.
Different ways to combine these sources are testing in the PH4S Pilot: the principal aim of this program is to
demonstrate the feasibility of the combination of sources and the reduction of the irregularity of the production
of electricity compared to a monosource solution.
Indeed, this is a new and unique technology that GEPS Techno is developing today and another step towards the
visionary project of GEPS: the MLiner (page 10-11).

R&D PROGRAM : IHES STABILISATION & POWER AUTONOMY
One technology, two applications
The IHES program started in January 2016: it improves the performance of energy harvesting at a larger scale using GSIRE
(as used on MV “Thalassa”) in an alternative configuration. The end product will be a stable moored autonomous power
platform.
Besides the demonstration of the technology in operational conditions, the IHES program will allow us to develop the
conceptual tools and the CFD models which we need to optimise the products of tomorrow.
The innovations of this program are profuse including storage of hybrid energy (battery and full capacity), control without
local sensors and piloted dynamic features in passive stabilisation …
