Next General Membership Meeting June 6, 2012

Minutes to the May 2, 2012 Membership Meeting

The general meeting was held at the Sunrise cafe. Meeting called to order at 7:40 by Andrea. Attendance: Andrea Mowdy. Lois Cant, Donna & Duane Staack, Donna Bernardellli, Connie Graves, Marnie Vandenburg Mel & Anne Gahley, Butch Mowdy. Brianne, Zane, Shawn Charters, Coltin Patnaude, Bonnie Camp, Deneen & Arielle Phillips & Anita Stephens TREASURER REPORT: The checking account has $10,3667.51, scholarship fund $2,690.98. Income from the spring double point show was $2,817.75. Motel for the judge was $191.16. There were several unpaid bills one of which was a bill for copying items presented by Donna B. The stalls weren’t paid yet because of a conflict of numbers plus replacing a panel, price yet to be determined. Bonnie /Shawn moved to give Marnie permission to pay the bills. Marnie reported that the deposit for the fall Double point show was rolled over from Spring Show. DOUBLE POINT COMMITTEE: Connie G. thanked all the volunteers & said the show committee was very pleased with the show. There were 127 horses with 717 entries. Thanks so much for all of the support. Thank you to Wade, Connie G & Barb for another great show. EPRB / LOC committee: Nothing to report, on rules. Rule books are needed. Andrea asked Connie G. to check with John about getting some rule books printed. NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE: Shawn printed the updated show calendar to be passed out at the meeting. Please note several date changes. This will be published in the newsletter & on the website calendar. SCHOLARSHIP: 5 applications have been filed with the committee. The deadline was May 1st. The committee will meet to review the applications. AWARDS COMMITTEE : Meeting: No June meeting planned. Deneen reported that the booth at the double point show was a huge success. The result was 53 signed up for the following awards, 53 challenge, 5 beginners, 45 for versatility award, 11 teams. The teams were formed by drawing names out of a hat. BANQUET COMMITTEE: Jan 19, 2013 Slide show of your favorite photos. Deneen reported that the Nampa Civic Center has been reserved for our Jan 19th banquet. There will be two rooms set up to accommodate up to 350 people, with tables for the auction items, a dance floor & a bar. PLEASE COLLECT PICTURES FOR A SLIDE SHOW TO BE SHOWN AT THE BANQUET.
