August 2020 A great RVCC picnic at Steve’s place! Greetings Fellow Car Club Members. Every once in a while we have to give our Club a pat on the back for all the fine work we do for our community. That’s what our Annual RVCC Picnic this past Sunday was all about. Many thanks to Club member Steve Helvic for hosting the picnic on his beautiful property. We dined on delicious barbecue from Papa Terrell’s. Enjoyed the cool breezes coming off the Rogue even though the day was warm. Doused each other with water balloons. And left Steve’s place stuffed to the gills with barbecue and cake. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with RVCC friends. Jim Kudos from Club Members Jan Powell and Tom Derryberry: We had an enjoyable afternoon as I believe all in attendance did. I appreciate all your efforts to guide this group and steer it away from going into a ditch. I’m really pleased with the denim shirt that I received yesterday. It’s also a “Collector’s Item” as the emblem reads 2020 Fabulous 50s. Thanks again.”

The First Annual Show and Shineat the Parkway Christian Center onJuly 25 was a well-attendedsuccess—so much so that theCenter is planning an even biggershow next year. Our Club was wellrepresented. Registration was free.A Pancake Breakfast, local foodtrucks, and great 50s music kept the energy going. The show was a fitting prelude to the RVCC Fabulous 50s Cruise that took place that evening from 7 to 9 pm.
