Presents Freddie Steady’ Wild Country—Ten Dollar Gun The British Invasion hit Southeast Texas hard in 1964. When the Beatles found their way into the living room of a kid called Freddie Krc (rhymes with search), he pointed right at the screen and said, “I wanna do that!” After attending his first concert that same year, the Invasion’s impact was complete: The Sir Douglas Quintet came from a Liverpool suburb called San Antonio, Tejas, where country and rock mixed together in a uniquely soulful manner. From there, Freddie Steady Krc would create his own brand of British rock and Texas country. It took living in London in 1986 to fully embrace the country half of his musical self, and that’s how Freddie Steady’s Wild Country was born. Lucky 7 was the album, a rocking slice of high lonesome neon country soul. With his same English pals (most notably British singer/songwriter Wes McGhee and legendary session steel guitar player BJ Cole), Freddie recently returned to London to fur- ther celebrate those wild country roots. So with a tip of a Stetson to Sir Doug, the Beatles, and Hank, here’s Freddie Steady’s Wild Country, the Sequel. And nothing’s more fun than a Ten Dollar Gun! --Rush Evans SteadyBoy Records “Hey if you wanna get ready, go listen to Freddie Steady and you’ll always be ready. ‘What’s So Hard About Love’ is a hit!” —Augie Meyers Freddie Krc is a true dedicated musician.
