About usWATERPOLO PEOPLE is a 'NO PROFIT' Association founded by personalitiesinvolved in the waterpolo world that, in accordance with the important work ofsports institutions, proposes, in unity of purpose, to offer a contribution of ideasand initiatives for improving the popularity of water polo.

In the Waterpolo People illustrious personalities are committed such as Olympicgold medalists, high-level coaches, leaders of important clubs, heads of NationalTeams winners of the Olympics, World and European Championships, marketingexperts, qualified entrepreneurs and journalists.

President of the Waterpolo People is Franco Porzio, Olympic gold medalist atBarcelona '92, world and European champion with the Italian national team andmulti-titled with Posillipo. In 1997 Porzio founded the Acquachiara company inwhich he currently holds the position of Honorary President. Among thefounders of Waterpolo People also Gabriele Pomilio, historical Team Manager ofthe Olympic champion Settebello and Gyeneral Manager of Pescara who in the80s won all, and recently passed away.

The tournamentYELLOW BALL WATERPOLO INTERNATIONAL EVENT is an importantcompetition dedicated to children and teenagers (9-15 years of age). After the remarkable success of the previous editions , experiencing theenthusiasm of families, managers, coaches and athletes, WATERPOLO PEOPLEassociation organizes, the fifth edition from the 23rd to 29th of June 2019, scheduled at Futura Club Itaca-Nausicaa Restort of Rossano Calabro (CS), Italy.

The categories of the tournament will be as follows :• under 11 (male, female or mixed)• under 13 (male, female or mixed)• under 15 male• under 15 female

Calabria, terra d’amareCalabria has been rewarded by the American newspaper New York Times as an unmissable Italian destination last summer 2017. Kilometres and kilometres of magnificent white beaches and jagged rocks close to a crystalline blue sea, a hinterland rich in natural beauties, smells and aromas typical of Mediterranean ecosystem, flavours of an ancient culinary tradition that finds its roots in the past generations and the warmth of a welcoming and hospitable people.

The Village

TransferAll transfers from Naples or Lamezia Terme (Airport or Railway Station) to the Village, and vice versa, are completely FREE for teams and escorts.

Waterpolo People, therefore, will make available FREE BUSES / SHUTTLES at no cost and / or surcharge for athletes, managers, escorts and parents.

How to enroll Yellow Ball

First of all, just contact the Administrative Office at + 393341319753 / + 393395261286 or send an email to info@yellowball.it.

In order to formalize the registration, it will be necessary to send, by mail, the documents requested by Waterpolo People, duly completed.

Finally, managers or coaches , have to register their teams on the site www.yellowball.it

Accomodation of parents

Parents will also stay in the complex of the Futura Club Itaca-NausicaaResort in Rossano Calabro.

While the Ithaca village is dedicated to the athletes and the teams, the parents will spend their stay in the Nausicaa village. The two villages are practically adjacent and access to the parents or any external escorts from the village Nausicaa to the village Ithaca is allowed for FREE.

The Waterpolo People Association, in the coming months, will communicate to the registered teams the contracted price reserved for parents or any accompanying persons who wish to stay at the facility during the days of the Yellow Ball event..
