Who would be the

audience of your

media product

A social group represented in m magazine is age; I am using a young singer to get across to a younger audience around the older teenage range. This would help get me a younger audience because using young bands and artists would appeal to my target market more than using an older band or artist. I also used gender in my magazine by making sure not to use girly or male colours when creating my magazine so that I would be able to appeal to a bigger audience rather than just females or just males. This would help with the sales of my magazine because I would be able to sell to a wider audience rather than making the magazine for boys or girls. My magazine is in more in favour of woman so I used a more passive language in my double page spread to make sure I was able to appeal to more of the female range since most woman buy magazines rather than men, which I got from my research. I also used the colour red, which is more to the colour pink than the colour blue, which would appeal to women more than men that would buy them. Because men are stereotypically more dominant than women I used some text that would assure dominance like using bigger words that stereotypically women wouldn’t usually understand or usually use.
