Little Sunshine As our theme in term 2 is ‘Apples and Banana’, we introduced our little infants to a variety of fruits and vegetables using pictures, toys and figurines. ‘Pick The Raisin’ is one of the activities which introduced children to dried fruits. They were given the opportunity to pick them up by themselves and taste them. It was also a physical activity which encouraged our little infants
to demonstrate their Fine Motor Manipulative Skills. Meanwhile, immobile infants were involved in this activity by holding the fruit toys.
Activity Name: Pick The Raisin
Intellectual: Children identified familiar animals
and trees
Fun Outdoor Activity
The outdoors was a great place for the children to stimulate their senses as they explored the nature. They walked around the neighbourhood and we encouraged them to reach out
and touch the living things around them and talked about what they see.
Activity Name: Nature Walk
Sensory of touch: Educarer encouraged our little
children to touch the texture of leaves.

With this term's theme on ‘food’, the toddlers had fun exploring different types of food, such as water, milk, fruits, and vegetables. One of their activities was to make a fruit
collage where they learned about one of the primary colours, yellow, and the skills of pasting the papers.
The children did role play on how to cook food and buy vegetables in the market. They also sang the song “Fruit Salad” to familiarise themselves with fruit names. This
activity stimulated their imagination and enhanced their social development.

During Discovery of the World, children learned and observed items that sink and float. They learned how water dissolves salt and how water changes colour by adding food colourings.
The children were definitely fascinated as we could hear many “Wows”.
“Kompang Dipalu…” Pada penggal ini, murid-murid diberi
pendedahan kepada majlis perkahwinan orang Melayu. Berlatarbelakangkan lagu
‘Kompang Dipalu’, mereka mencuba bermain kompang mengikut irama dan
rentak.

FUN-tastic Fours
Our children are now more aware about eating healthy food. The children were tasked
to place food magnets onto the right categories on the healthy plate, as per the
Health Promotion Board’s guidelines.
Memandangkan tema untuk penggal ini merupakan
‘perkahwinan orang Melayu’, maka guru telah merancangkan
beberapa aktiviti seperti kraf bunga
manggar dan menyediakan bunga rampai.
通过将“小熊”计数器装进不同的袋子里进行比较,小班幼儿了解了多和少这
个概念。
During the cultural month in June, children were exposed to the Malay
culture. They played the kompang, a traditional instrument, and learned how to play the congkak. They were also excited to be given a chance to don the traditional Malay outfits.

Theme: Fun with Numeracy! Activity: Groups & Graphs
The K1 children were introduced to more challenging concepts as they did graphing and grouping. Instead of the usual teacher-led lessons, they carried out a different strategy by getting the children to independently use graphing and grouping methods to solve simple problem sums. For example, the children had to think of ways to share the many marbles given to them so that each child has a fair number of marbles to play.

Theme: Community Helpers Activity: Making Beats & Rhythm
The K1 children were such a fun bunch! All of them enjoy music and certainly were not shy from making creative movements. They learned about the various musical instruments and
how to create music elements.
menghasilkan bunga rampai mereka sendiri. Yang pasti, mereka amat responsif dan kelihatan
seronok sepanjang aktiviti itu. Page 6

Children showed their knowledge on the attributes of shapes through ‘Tape Art’. They formed the shapes by pasting masking tapes on the drawing paper, painted on it with colorful hues and mixed. They then unravel the shapes by removing the tapes.
It was an enjoyable discovery as they identified and picked natural items around the neighborhood’s grounds. Using items such as twigs, dried leaves and grass, they were able to form body parts such as hands, faces and feet. Children learned how to be creative using more of indigenous materials and less on commercial products.
In ‘Traffic Lights’, children had a fun way of getting familiar with the colours of the traffic light and honed their dribbling skill in different speeds and pathways. They learned to dribble fast when it is green, dribble slow at amber, and stop and hold when red. The rest of the children actively participated as the traffic police.
