The Lord is Risen! He is Risen indeed!
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings to you in the precious Name of our Risen Lord Jesus Christ!
We have celebrated the 'Resurrected Lord' on Easter Sunday. The celebration does not, and should not end on just 'one day', because 'Christ Lives forever!' He defeated death, and rose victorious to life. He Lives, and He calls you and me to participate in His resurrected life. As People of Faith, we need to celebrate His LIFE every day; every day should become a celebration of His Resurrection. At His coming into the world in human form at advent, the angelic host appeared singing “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among whom he is pleased.” (Luke 2: 14). In His resurrection, He brought Peace. Now, the Resurrected Lord stood among His disciples, who were in fear of the circumstances around them, and said, “Peace be with you”. He understood them very well that they needed proof of His risen presence, and showed the perplexed disciples His wounded hands and side, saying again, “Peace be with you.” (John 20: 19 & 20). This blessing of Peace was also given with the Gift of the Holy Spirit, as He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit...” - peace and courage filled the hearts of the disturbed, discouraged, and disillusioned disciples.
The disciple Thomas, who was not there at Jesus' first appearance, doubted, and wanted proof of His resurrection. Jesus meets him along with the other disciples and says, 'Peace be with you'. Thomas believes and makes a great confession saying, 'my Lord and my God', and worships the Risen Lord - a disciple who doubted, is now at peace.
The Disciples of Jesus, strengthened with the resurrection experience, go into the world to be His witnesses. As we celebrate His love, His life, and His blessing of Peace, do we experience His peace within us? Do we take courage to be His Disciples, bring peace within ourselves, our families, and the community? Let us remind ourselves that 'Jesus stands among us' as our Risen Lord, and calls us to be Witnesses of His Resurrection.
God bless us

REPORT ON VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL AT OUR MISSION FIELD, TUBAGERE
"I am Willing".
Beginners, Primary, Juniors, Intermediates and Seniors. There were ten Teachers, six of them from our church, and two Volunteers. Each day started with Devotions, after which the children were led to their respective Classes. The prescribed Syllabus was followed. The children were taught Action Songs, Colouring, Choreography, and were guided in presenting Skits. At the end of each day, a Review Session was held by the Director with the Teachers and the Volunteers. The feedback was very positive. Though some of the children were from other faiths, they were keen to learn the Word of God, and the Memory Verses from the Bible. They participated enthusiastically, and presented Skits and Action Songs at the Closing Ceremony. Their presentation was very much appreciated. The Chief Guest was Rev. Daniel Vijayaraj. Gifts and Certificates were awarded to all the Children, Teachers and the Volunteers.
We place on record our appreciation and thanks to our Presbyter, Rev. Jessie Ranjan, the Chief Guest, the Members of the Pastorate Committee, Teachers and the Volunteers, our Evangelist Mr. Sampath Nayak and his wife, Mr. Gladson Maben, Convener, Mission and Evangelism Committee, and Mr. Watson, for providing Transport every day. We remain grateful and indebted to the Members of our Congregation for their support all through these years.
Above all, we praise and thank God Almighty, for guiding us, protecting us, and providing all our needs.

REPORT ON VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL AT ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH
VBS 2017 was held between April 19 to 29, from 9 am - 12 noon. The theme was "I am Willing". The children were enriched with God's Word, Missionary Stories, and Devotions by our Director, Mrs. Janet Abraham. Events like Day of Beauty and Cleanliness, Day of Inspection, Day of Labour, Day of Giving, Love Feast, and Picnic, encouraged the children in a closer walk with God and personality development. They were also encouraged to relish traditional Indian food, and were taught a few basic etiquette on how they can help their parents at home. We are grateful to our Presbyter Rev Jessie Ranjan, the Director, Pastorate Committee Members, our Teachers, Judges, Sponsors, Volunteers, Parents, and the Office and Maintenance Staff, for making VBS 2017 a grand success.
