What Went Well

We selected the shots to use together well and managed to fit them together to create

the storyline we wanted. We also managed to use all the necessary camera

angles.

What Could be Improved

The acting in the shots doesn’t fit together to create a continuous story. The duration of the shots also disrupt the dialogue. The

lighting could have been darker to fit with the thriller theme and we could have

added in some eerie music to add tension.

What Was Difficult about this Process

Uploading the videos onto the Mac for editing was unsuccessful many times

which delayed the editing process. It was also difficult to use the editing programme

as we hadn’t used it before.

What did I learn from this Process

I learnt how to upload the videos onto a Mac and how to use the programme to edit

which will save time when editing my final task and will give us more time to give an

improved outcome. I also learnt that a fifteen second break at the start and end

of a shot is not necessary.

What Skills will I use when Filming and Editing my Final Task?

I will use an appropriate location that allows space to get the right camera angles. I will also use people comfortable with acting to perform the story for an effective outcome. To keep to the thriller theme, I will use dim

lighting where possible.

When editing, I will include eerie music to add tension along with selective sound.
