October 2015 FINANCIAL REPORT

With the addi on of the roof loan, income needs to average about $28,100 per month to meet budget. Income from the general fund in October totaled $25,938 and expenses were $28,177. As a result, the opera ng loss for October totaled $2,340 and general fund deficit year to date has increased to $32,935.

The balance on the roof replacement loan today is $65,920 and our monthly payment is $987. To date, the congrega on has contributed a total of $29,325 toward this much needed care of our facility.

In conjunc on with Stewardship Commi ee ac vi es, this coming Sunday is Miracle Sunday and will focus a en on on specific opportuni es to support the financial needs of the church. Our hope is that the final two months of the budget year will reduce the deficit.

Thanks to everyone for their con nued generosity.

Jon Kimberling and Gwen Mitchell,

Co‐Treasurers

This Sunday, November 15, is Miracle Sunday. We will give thanks to our redeeming Lord by offering our Confiden al

Pledge Cards and Anonymous Pledge Stubs during worship. Your sealed and Confiden al Pledge Card will be returned to you in 6 months

as a most thankful reminder. Your Anonymous Pledge Stub will be used to tally all of our

commitments and our combined pledge will be announced at Fellowship Hour as a Miracle of God’s Grace.

This year, our Stewardship Team is asking us to make a commitment of our giving by filling out a Confiden al Pledge Card and Anonymous

Pledge Stub. You should have received this in the mail. If you did not, you can find extras on the table in the Narthex.

These pledge/covenant cards are like wri ng a note to God:

“Lord, I am commi ng to give to you because I love you; and I am so grateful for what you have done for me.

My mo ve for giving and signing this pledge card is one of gra tude to You.”

Prayerfully complete the Confiden al Pledge Card, filling in the same amounts on the Card AND the Stub;

Fold and tear on the perforated edge as indicated;

Fold down the top por on of the Confiden al Pledge Card at the perforated edge to ensure privacy;

Place the completed Confiden al Pledge Card in the enclosed, self addressed envelope, and seal the envelope;

Fold the completed Anonymous Pledge Stub at the perforated edge to ensure privacy;

When directed we will hold a processional offering. Place your offering, sealed Confiden al Pledge Card and Anonymous Pledge Stub in the Pledge Basket;

In six months, your unopened Confiden al Pledge Card will be returned to you in the mail for you to open and use as a stewardship “check‐in.”

What would

like to do?

Here’s an idea! Make a posi ve impact on the Sunday experience of all who enter here!

There is no “fast rule,” but usually this servant opportunity is reserved for our

younger members. There is a special significance to what the acolyte does. First, an acolyte lights the candles. This signifies that the Holy Spirit

is in the place of worship. By ligh ng the candles, you show those who worship that God is present in this house. When you ex nguish the candles at the end

of the service, you are signifying that the Holy Spirit is leaving the place of worship in everyone’s hearts. Ligh ng and ex nguishing the candles generally indicates

the start and the end of a worship service. Acolytes dress in robes, quietly carry torches, crosses, thuribles, alms basins and

cruets. A vital part of worship, they blend into the background helping our liturgies flow smoothly, and rejoicing in the privilege to serve at God’s altar.

If you are interested in serving as an Acolyte, or you have children that you feel might wish to serve in this role,

please speak with Pastor Daugs.

J.A.M is in need of some dona ons of items like:

Gummy Treats ‐ Crackers ‐ Cookies ‐ Fruit Leather ‐ or similar goodies,

(nothing with nuts please)

for our J.A.M. ‐ Jesus And Me! Sunday School Class.

Pre‐packaged, single serving containers work very well in this ministry.

Please leave your dona ons

in the kitchen marked “J.A.M.”

Thank you!!!
