This workshop is specifically designed for vets who are new, or those returning to practice, to get you fit for the job. It is also beneficial for veterinarians requiring a nuts and bolts refresher course. You know you have a pretty good memory and know all the important stuff, but HOW do you implement that in the clinical setting. This is the workshop for you.
Along with surgical skills, we have communication and meditation topics every day.
Join us for an intensive 3-days jam packed full of theory and practical sessions from expert tutors. We’ll give you all the support you need to do your job confidently and competently.
1. LEARN ITWith the skills you gain at a VetPrac course, you can dramatically increase your income.
2. BILL ITFor example, if a new procedure you’ve learned bills for $1200, in less than three procedures you’ll have paid for the course that helped you gain that skill.
3. CLAIM ITPlus, you may be able to claim some or all of the cost as professional development or a tax deduction.

Tania graduated from The University of Queensland in 1997, and then spend 18 months in small animal practice in Brisbane. An internship was then followed by a small animal surgery residency at The University of Queensland and at Veterinary Specialist Services (VSS) Underwood. Tania was awarded a Fellowship in small animal surgery (by examination) in 2005, and has practiced as a specialist surgeon at various referral centers in England and Brisbane, and recently completed a PhD in tissue engineering. Tania currently works as a small animal surgeon at Veterinary Specialist Services (VSS). Tania performs all aspects of small animal surgery with a particular emphasis on soft tissue and oncology surgery.
DR TANIA BANKS BVSc, FACVSc (Small Animal Surgery)
After several years in small animal general practice (in both Australia and the UK), during which time she feared and loathed dentistry with a passion, she was awarded her PhD in immunology and genetics in 2004. Following a break to start her family she returned to the University of Sydney as a lecturer and small animal clinician. It was during this time that she was bitten by the dental bug! Dr Christine achieved her Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (MANZVCS) in Veterinary Dentistry in 2006, established Sydney Pet Dentistry the following year and has been devoted to providing excellent dental care to the pets of Sydney and its surrounds ever since. Christine has, at various times over the past decade, been President of the Australian Veterinary Dental Society and President of the Dentistry Chapter of the ANZCVS. She is passionate about education, teaching all aspects of small animal dentistry to students, vets and vet nurses.
DR CHRISTINE HAWKEBSc BVSc PhD MACVSc (Dentistry)
Tracey is our senior veterinarian and graduated from Murdoch University in 2000. Tracey worked at Willunga Veterinary Services as a mixed practice veterinarian. In 2005, Tracey worked in the UK as a vet in both small and mixed practice for 9 months. Tracey then returned to work at Willunga Veterinary Services until she co-founded Australian Veterinary Behaviour Services (formerly known as Adelaide Veterinary Behaviour Services). Tracey designed and started the puppy preschool classes (based on Kersti Seksel’s format) in 2001 at Willunga Veterinary Services. In 2004 Tracey completed a post graduate course in animal behaviour at Sydney University. Since 2004 Tracey has been offering behaviour consultations - initially at Willunga Veterinary Services, and then at AVBS since opening in 2012, seeing a wide variety of cases during this time. In 2008 Tracey became a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Veterinary Behaviour by examination. AVBS is a behaviour only clinic based in McLaren Vale where Tracey consults full time, in addition to consulting at AVSARC at Norwood monthly.
