National Green Tribunal in OA 21 of 2014 titled “Vardhaman Kaushik VsUnion of India & Ors.” regarding Air Pollution in Delhi vide its order dated10.04.2015 has imposed compensation on construction related works asunder:

Simple Measures to Control Dust Pollution atConstruction Sites•Put tarpaulin on scaffolding aroundthe area of construction and thebuilding.

•Do not store any constructionmaterial particularly sand on any partof the street, roads in any colony.

•The construction material of any kindthat is stored in the site should befully covered in all respects .•Use of covering sheet to prevent dustdispersion at buildings andinfrastructure site, which are beingconstructed.

•Trucks or other vehicles carryingconstruction material and debris shall befully covered and protected.

•The vehicles carrying construction materialand construction debris of any kind should becleaned before it is permitted to ply on theroad after uploading of such material.

•Transport construction material and debriswaste to construction site, dumping site orany other place in accordance with rules.

•All builders shall ensure that C&D waste istransported to the C&D Waste site only anddue record in that behalf shall be maintainedby the builders transporters and NCR ofDelhi.

•The dust emissions from the constructionsite should be completely controlled and allprecautions taken in that behalf.

•Every worker working on theconstruction site and involved inloading, uploading and carriage ofconstruction material and constructiondebris shall be provided with mask toprevent inhalation of dust particles.

•Every owner and or builder shall toprovide all medical help, investigationand treatment to the workers involvedin the construction of building andcarry of construction material anddebris relatable to dust emission.

National Green Tribunal in OA 21 of 2014 titled“Vardhaman Kaushik Vs Union of India & Ors.” regardingAir Pollution in Delhi vide its order dated 28.04.2015 hasimposed compensation on burning of any kind of garbageleaves, waste plastic, rubber, self –moulding compoundand such other material in open as under:

….(5) “..the person who is found actually burningsuch material and/or responsible for or abating suchburning would be liable to pay compensation in termsof the Section 15 of the National Green TribunalAct, 2010 for polluting the environment and would beliable to pay a sum of Rs. 5,000, to be paidinstantaneously.”
