This system is tracking for maximum intensityof light.

COMPARATOR
Compares a signal voltage applied at one
input with a reference voltage at the other.There are two types of comparators:
Inverting comparator-A fixed reference voltage
is applied to the +ve input .Output is positivewhen input is greater than reference voltage.
Non Inverting Comparator-A fixed reference
voltage is applied to the ve input. Output is
negative when input is greater than the
reference voltage.

carrying conductor is placed in a magneticfield, it experiences a force whose direction

WORKING OF SOLAR
TRACKERUsing sensors ,we sense the direction
of maximum intensity of light.
The difference between the outputs of
the sensors is determined (V01)
This difference is compared using two
comparators C1 and C2

C1 is non-inverting with threshold
voltage 0.5V.
C2 is inverting with threshold voltage
0V.
The comparison circuit controls how
the motor has to be rotated so that the
solar panel will receive maximum
intensity of light from the sun

When light falls obliquely ,surface is
rotated towards the direction of light.
When the surface is aligned
perpendicular to the incident light, both
sensors are equally lit and motor stops
rotating.
