Home Invasion:

26000 Berg Rd. Rock was thrown through bedroom window.

Victim states he activated his alarm and left residence at 8:00am. Victim returned to his residence at 11:00am and turned his alarm off. At approx. 1:14pm victim discovered that a screen had been removed from a bedroom window and a rock was thrown through the window. Entry was made into the residence and victim states a closet door and several dresser drawers were opened and gone through. The alarm system apparently doesn’t have sensors in this area of the residence so there were no alarm activations. Victim states nothing is missing from residence. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene and developed latent print evidence from scene.

20000 Kensington Ct. (Residential Apartments)

Apartment door was kicked in.

Victim states he was at home when he heard a loud noise at the apartment door. When victim went to see what it was he discovered that the door had been kicked in. There were several B/M suspects including a subject that victim had gotten into a fight with a few weeks prior to this incident. All of the suspects jumped victim and started hitting him. The subject that he got into a fight with a few weeks earlier just stood by and watched the others assault him. All of the suspects then fled in a Blue or Black Chevy Impala. Note: Victim and suspect both go to Southfield Schools. Investigation revealed that there have been a series of incidents involving victim and suspect(s). Victim’s mother advises that the issue has been resolved with the boys (victim and suspect) and other parties involved. She said all of the parents and responsible adults have exchanged phone numbers and are attempting to resolve matter.

No signs of forced entry. A code is needed to access garage.

Victim states sometime between 05/17/2016 @ 7:00am & 05/18/2016 @ 9:30am someone gained entry into garage and took several tools, lawn tools, 2- five gallon bottles filled with coin change, 2- ladders and misc. cooking goods. Victim states the only people that have the code to get in the garage are the Insurance Company and the Construction Workers. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should be mindful of homes that are vacant, for sale or under renovation in their neighborhoods. Several of these type residences have been broken into and the copper piping, furnaces, hot water tanks and appliances have been taken. If you see any large vehicles, trucks, vans parked at these residences and it appears suspicious, especially in the late night or early morning hour’s citizens should immediately call the Police! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Surveillance video from Security shows at 11:19pm a Red Chevy HHR sitting behind victim’s vehicle. A White Ford Conversion Van with two Gray Stripes below the windows pulls off Beck Rd into Embassy Suites Hotel driveway and right into the office building lot. The van drives slowly past the victim’s vehicle and Red Chevy HHR out of the lot onto S/B Northwestern. The Red Chevy HHR then pulls up next to victims Suburban. Moments later you see suspect vehicle and victims 2005 Chevy Suburban leaving the lot together.

Neither neighbor looked outside or called the police though?

Stereo Touch Screen System was taken from 2009 Chrysler Town & Country.

Victim stated she parked and locked her vehicle at 5:30pm. Victim returned to her vehicle the following morning at 8:00am and discovered her driver side window on the sliding door broken out. Upon further inspection she observed the center console area to be ripped out and stolen. The missing console was a standard touch screen and not a GPS system. Victim stated on Monday May 16, 2016 @ 9:30pm he was walking to the front door of residence when the suspect pulled up behind him. The suspect was in a Black Ford Pick-Up Truck, he approached victim and pointed a gun at him and said "give me your stuff I'm not playing now!” Victim gave suspect his work bag & an undisclosed amount of cash. Providence Dr. & W. Nine Mile Rd.

Attempted to take victim’s wallet from her pocket.

Victim states she was standing on Foster Winter Dr. near 9 Mile Rd. smoking a cigarette. An unknown suspect (W/M 5'-8" medium build, 50 yoa, scruffy hair, wearing an orange/ sleeveless shirt, dirty blue jeans, and brown boots) approached her from behind. The suspect grabbed victim by the shoulder, and reached into her front right pants pocket, where her wallet was. The suspect told victim to be quiet as he attempted to pull the wallet out of her pocket. Victim turned around and punched the suspect in the mouth, using her right closed fist. The suspect fled N/B across 9 Mile Rd. towards Providence Pavilion. Victim walked over to the Hospital Emergency Lobby and contacted 911. The suspect did not get the victim’s wallet. Be on the Look Out Highlights: Arrests by SPD Officers:

Special Attention: Attempt Murder- 2- Subjects with Gun Shot Wounds came into Hospital for treatment. 05/21/2016 10:51pm 16000 Lincoln Dr.

(Middle School) Victims state they left a festival in Dearborn Heights and went to Middle School in Southfield. Victims state there were approx. 50- 60 people at the school. Several vehicles were squealing there tires and doing donuts in the parking lot. One of the victims stated that several vehicles pulled into the parking lot; one of the vehicles was a White Ford Explorer type of vehicle occupied by 6-7 B/F’s. Several other females exited the other vehicles and began fighting. Victim stated that he figured that the police were going to respond to the fight so he started running toward his vehicle. Victim saw a B/M approx. 19-20 years old '5-10", 160lbs thin build with Dred Locks past his shoulders wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, running behind him to his left side. The subject had a handgun in his right hand pointed in victim’s direction. Victim then heard several shots and realized that he had been shot. Victim was conveyed to hospital by some friends. Victim did state that he had seen a posting on Twitter that some girls from Southfield H. S. and girls

from Cass Tech H.S. we’re going to fight at Catalpa Park in Southfield. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed scene and recovered several items indicative of girls fighting and shots fired. A&B/ Disorderly Conduct/ Resisting & Obstructing Officer- 3- Arrests 05/16/2016 8:19pm 16000 Block of W Nine Mile Rd.

(Hospital) Southfield Officers were dispatched to Providence Hospital to the Emergency Room entrance parking lot. Several Security Officers were physically fighting with multiple subjects who were trying to gain entry into the hospital. Upon arrival there was a large disorderly gathering opposing Security Staff. The group continued opposing Security and now Officers on scene and were screaming obscenities and acting in a way as mob like and riotous. Officers attempted to arrest one of the disorderly persons. This subject managed to break free and attempted to flee on foot. Southfield Officers when confronting this suspect he took a posture that indicated that he was going to fight Officers. This subject was taken into custody, handcuffed and secured. While handcuffing this suspect two more subjects approached and took a posture indicating that they wanted to interfere and fight with Officers. One of the subjects stated “Let my brother go”. The suspects assaulted Officers and and Security Staff. While Officers were all on the ground struggling with these two suspects attempting to take them into custody and prior to them being handcuffed, another male subject and a female came over the top of Officers and were also making threats towards Officers. They were also acting in riotous behavior and screaming at Officers. These suspects interfered with Officers abilities to control and arrest other suspects.

After getting other suspects handcuffed the male and female were still screaming and yelling at Officers. Officers attempted to take the male suspect into custody and he also resisted arrest. Officers eventually took this subject into custody as well. The female suspect managed to flee area. In all, three male subjects, all related (brothers) were taken into custody. *Information from Hospital Security*: Incident originally started in the parking lot when several subjects including the suspects arrested were observed by Security drinking at their car and were causing a disturbance near the entrance to the hospital. When asked by Security to leave the property the suspects assaulted Security Officers.

Possession of Marijuana & Methamphetamines- 2- Arrests 05/21/2016 3:17am 20000 Block of Van Buren St. Officers were dispatched to the area on a suspicious vehicle cruising in the area. Officers located the vehicle cruising behind several businesses along 8 Mile Rd. west of Beech Rd. The vehicle was then observed pulling to the rear of business in the 25000 Block of 8 Mile Rd. and shut its lights off. Officers observed two subjects exit the vehicle, one with a flashlight. The subjects started walking around the rear of the building near the rear door dumpster area. Officers pulled up on suspect vehicle (Silver Oldsmobile Silhouette) Investigation revealed that the two female occupants were “Dumpster Diving”. Officers observed suspected marijuana in their vehicle. A Southfield Police K-9 Unit conducted a Sweep of the interior of the vehicle. As a result of the sweep suspected marijuana was recovered and suspected methamphetamines were recovered from a wallet inside vehicle. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected marijuana and methamphetamines. Both tested positive for possible presence of illegal substances. Both of the vehicle occupants were taken into custody.

OWI- 1- Arrest 9 Mile Rd/ Beech Rd. 05/18/ 2016 9:54pm Officers were sent to the area of Nine Mile and Beech Road on a possible OWI driver. The vehicle was located and the driver was stopped for OWI investigation. The driver was arrested for OWI and transported to the Southfield detention area. The driver’s BAC was very high and he was taken to Hospital for detoxification prior to being lodged.

Peeping Tom/ Probation Violation/ Obstruct Police- 1- Arrest 05/21/2016 7:19pm 30000 Block of Southfield Rd.

(Commercial Department Store) Officers were dispatched to the business regarding a B/M peeping into a changing stall where two female teenagers were trying on clothes. Officers arrived and Security pointed out the suspect to Officers. Officers spoke with the suspect and he identified himself verbally. (later discovered that he gave his twin brothers name) Officers spoke to witnesses who advised they observed suspect looking over the stall walls where two females were in the changing room. Officers investigation revealed that suspect had a twin brother that was arrested for Indecent Exposure in the past, which he is currently on probation for. One of the probation conditions is this person shall not violate any criminal law of any unit of government. Further investigation by Officers revealed that the suspect in this incident was in fact the subject that was on probation. The suspect was arrested at this time for Obstructing Police and Violation of Probation.

OWI- 1- Arrest 05/21/2016 8:50pm 26000 Block of Twelve Mile Rd. Officer stopped a vehicle after it had struck several traffic cones on the freeway and was dragging one under his vehicle. The driver was investigated for OWI and was subsequently arrested and lodged for OWI.

Domestic A&B/ Resist & Obstruct Officer- 1- Arrest 05/22/2016 12:03pm 24000 Block of Northwestern Hwy.

(Hotel) Officers responded to Hotel to investigate Domestic A&B just occurred. Officers arrived and were advised by witness, (front desk clerk) that she witnessed an altercation in the parking lot between a male and female. The female came into the hotel after being struck by the male, at which point, witness called the police. Witness states the female locked herself in the bathroom near the front desk when she saw the male come in after her. A few seconds later, witness heard the female screaming. Security and a hotel guest tried to help and contain the situation until police arrived. Officers located suspect, his hands were bloodied and he refused to cooperate or speak with Officers. Officers attempted to take suspect into custody and he resisted arrest. Officers used the necessary force to affect their arrest. The suspect was taken into custody for Domestic Assault and Resisting Arrest.

Domestic A&B/ Resisting Arrest- 1- Arrest 05/22/2016 1:02am 16000 Block of Crescent Dr. Officers were dispatched to a disturbance. R/P said she heard a male and female yelling and glass breaking. Officers arrived and interviewed the male half (victim) of domestic. Victim stated it started out as a verbal dispute but then his wife punched him in the mouth knocking out one of his teeth. The female half (suspect) stated nothing happened and she denied assaulting her husband. Suspect had injuries (a cut) to her knuckles on her left hand, consistent with having hit something with her fist. Officers attempted to take suspect into custody for Domestic Assault and she resisted arrest. Officers used the necessary force to affect the arrest.
