Victim states since 02/27/2020 her apartment has been broken in to on two separate occasions. Victim advises that a family member has been going into her house again and taking things. Victim is sure that it’s a family member breaking in to the apartment because of the items that were taken. The family member previously lived at the residence, but no longer does. The suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

25000 Greenfield Rd. (Apartments)

Apartment door was forced open.

On 03/10/2020, Officers were dispatched to the Apartment Complex in the 25000 Block of Greenfield Rd. reference an assault. The R/P stated he was attacked by unknown suspect. Upon arrival, Officers made entry on the elevator and observed several droplets of blood on the floor. Officers followed the blood trail to Apartment on the 8th floor and contacted the suspect. Officers observed suspect holding a small towel on the left side of his head. The towel was covered in blood from an injury he sustained from a fight that had occurred. He was treated and transported to Hospital for evaluation. Further investigation, Officer contacted the victim in Apartment on the 10th floor. Victim states he heard suspect screaming outside of his apartment door for his girlfriend. When victim went to the door it was suddenly kicked open by suspect causing victim to be pushed backwards. At this point suspect was standing inside victim’s apartment. The suspect began to throw punches at victim with a closed fist. Victim fought back and grabbed ahold of a broken chair leg inside of the doorway and struck suspect in the head to protect himself and stop the attack. Suspect then fled the area. It was later discovered that the suspects girlfriend had sought refuse in another apartment because her boyfriend was intoxicated and she doesn’t like to be around him when he’s drinking. The victim stated he doesn’t know the suspect and his girlfriend was never in his apartment.

The suspect was later taken into custody after he was treated and released at the hospital.

29000 Westbrook Pkwy. High end clothing, shoes & purses were taken.

Victim is renting home in the 29000 Block of Westbrook Pkwy and is at the end of her lease and was packing to move out. Victim advises that persons unknown got into the residence by unknown means, went through her belongings and took several high-end clothing items, shoes and purses. On 03/14/2020 SPD, Front Desk Officer received a phone call from citizen familiar with the Home Invasion. The citizen advised that items stolen in our Home Invasion that belonged to her son were spotted at a consignment store in another jurisdiction. Officer reached out to the Police Department from that jurisdiction for assistance. Officers from that jurisdiction went to the store and spoke to a representative that provided information about merchandise that was given to them for consignment. The representative also provided information regarding the person(s) that brought the merchandise in for consignment. Possible suspect(s) were developed and incident is under further investigation.

On 03/12/2020, Officers were dispatched to Car Dealership in the 20000 Block of Telegraph Rd. regarding an Auto Theft that had occurred around 12:45pm. Employee (sales person) advises suspect came in and wanted to test drive a vehicle. He only had a Work ID, (No Drivers License) so he couldn’t test drive the vehicle. The sales person drove the vehicle for the test drive with the suspect in the passenger seat. After returning to the dealership the sales person got out of the vehicle to show the suspect some of the other vehicle features. The vehicle was left running. The suspect slid across the center console, got behind the wheel and took off with the vehicle at a high rate of speed. The manager pulled up security footage for Officers and they observed the suspect who had identified himself as Dvonte Hadley, looking around at vehicles and sitting down in a cubical to meet with a sales person. The suspect is described as a B/M in his 20s, thin build, approx. 120lbs, wearing a black shirt, blue kimono, red pants, white shoes, a white purse, blue surgical mask covering his face and had black medium length dreads. The vehicle was recovered in the 14000 Block of Greenfield Rd. in Detroit on 3-13-2020 at

11:45am by DPD. No arrests were made. Oakland County Auto Theft Detectives and Southfield Police Detectives conducted follow up investigation regarding this incident. They developed a possible suspect and conducted a photo-show with the sales person who went on the test drive with suspect. The sales person pointed to the suspect in the photo show and stated, “that’s him”. He signed and circled the suspects photo. The suspect that was identified was a match to the name that was given to the sales person prior to the test drive. The suspect has been identified and is still at large.

R/P stated a DPD Detective contacted him and stated someone had his license plate and was committing crimes. DPD Detective advised R/P to file a police report for his stolen MI license plate. The plate was entered, into Lein by Southfield Dispatch.

R/P states she was receiving physical therapy treatment at location and she mistakenly left her iPhone in one of the exam rooms after she was done. Victim returned to the business to retrieve it, but it was gone. R/P was advised by staff who the person was, that was in the exam room immediately after her. The person was identified as a client at the business she works at. Victim used the "find my iPhone" app, and the cell phone pinged to an address near suspects residence. The suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

R/P states that her 19-year-old son and her infant daughter were pulling into their Apartment Complex in the 28000 Block of Franklin Rd. in Southfield. R/P’s 19-year-old son kept asking his mother if he could borrow her car for the night. R/P told her son that he was not allowed to take the vehicle. As they approached the gate at the entrance to their Apartment Complex victim’s son got out of the car and physically removed his mother from the vehicle and threw her down on the ground. Suspect assaulted his mother, and forcefully removed the car keys from her hands. The suspect got into the driver’s seat and drove off, leaving victim and her daughter on the side of the road. Officers did an area check for the vehicle & suspect and neither were located. The suspect has been identified and incident is under further investigation.

Be on the Look Out Highlights: Arrests by SPD Officers:

Special Attention: Fight at Charter School 03/09/2020 9:27am 24000 Block of Garner St. Officers were dispatched to Charter School in the 24000 Block of Garner St. regarding a fight. It was reported that a group of young female students were involved in a physical altercation inside the common area of the school. Most of students had left the school's grounds, prior to Officers' arrival. Witnesses and victims were uncooperative and gave little information to Officers. Officers gathered as much information as they could regarding who was involved in the fight. A total of 6- Students were identified as being involved in the fight. 3- Students were still on scene that were injured. Incident is under further investigation.

OUID/ Possession of Firearm While Intoxicated- 1- Arrest 03/13/2020 10:46am Northwestern Hwy & Franklin Rd. Officer observed the suspect vehicle S/B on Northwestern near 12 Mile Rd. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed weaving between vehicles. Lidar confirmed the vehicle’s speed at 66/50 MPH. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver. The driver was trembling and was asked if he was on any type of prescriptions or illegal drugs. The driver stated no. The driver also stated that he had a CPL and he was armed. The driver was asked to perform several sobriety tests. He was also asked to submit to an Oral Fluid Test, to which he agreed to. The results showed positive for Cannabis (marijuana). The driver was taken into custody for O.U.I.N and read his Chemical Test Rights. The driver refused to voluntarily submit to a blood draw. He was transported without incident to Providence Hospital for a blood draw. An Affidavit for Search Warrant was sworn to before 46th Dist. Ct. Magistrate. The driver was advised of the Search Warrant. The blood draw was completed without incident. The driver was transported to the Southfield Jail for confinement. The driver’s firearm and CPL License were confiscated from the vehicle and placed into evidence for being in possession of firearm while intoxicated.

Special Attention: Dangerous Drugs/ Narcotics Paraphernalia 03/11/2020 11:37am 16000 Block of W Nine Mile Rd. (Hospital) Officer was dispatched to Hospital in the 16000 Block of 9 Mile Rd. on a report that hospital personnel recovered possible heroin and paraphernalia from a patient. Investigation revealed that hospital staff recovered a blue zippered pouch with suspected heroin and narcotics paraphernalia. The suspected substance was turned over to Hospital Security. Officer on scene questioned the patient and asked her if the blue pouch was hers. She stated “yes”. She also made admissions that she knew there was heroin in the pouch. She was taking it to the bathroom to throw it out when hospital staff intercepted her and took the pouch from her. The suspected substance was confiscated and placed into evidence. Suspect was identified and released pending further investigation.

OWI/ DWLS- 1- Arrest 03/10/2020 3:44pm 22000 Block of Greenfield Rd On 03/10/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 22000 Block of Greenfield Rd. for a slumped subject. Dispatch advised a B/M was slumped over in his White Chevy Malibu in the parking lot of the business. Officers located the vehicle and contacted the driver. The driver showed signs of intoxication. The driver smelled of intoxicants, and had slurred speech. The driver stated he had drank alcohol earlier in the day and there was an open can of Budweiser in the center console of the car. The driver was asked to perform several sobriety tests and agreed to take a PBT Test. The result indicated intoxication. After taking the PBT the driver soiled himself. The driver was taken into custody for OWI and transported to Southfield Jail.

Special Attention: Possible Abduction or Kidnapping 03/13/2020 10:39am W Ten Mile Rd. & Lahser Rd. (Auto Center) On 03/13/2020, Officers responded to business located in the 22000 Block of W Ten Mile Rd, regarding a suspected kidnapping that took place in the parking lot of the business.

Upon arrival Officers contacted a shop employee that stated he observed an unknown B/M in his 20s (wearing black short and white/dark striped shirt) forcing an unknown W/F in her 30s (wearing grey sweatpants, a light-colored sweatshirt, with no shoes) into the front passenger side of a 4-Dr. Black Chrysler 200. The license plate was given to Officers. Surveillance Video from the business confirmed incident. Surveillance Video shows the W/F exit the vehicle at the intersection of W Ten Mile and Lahser Rd. and begin walking towards the parking lot of business. The B/M made a U-Turn in the intersection and turned into the parking lot of business. The male then exited the vehicle and began to walk towards the female stepping in front of her and pushing her back towards the vehicle. The male pushed the female to the ground before picking her up and pushing the female into the passenger side of the vehicle, he then opened the door and forcefully pushed her into the vehicle. As the male pushed her into to the vehicle, he then entered the vehicle and could be seen on top of the

OWI/ Open Intox. in Motor Vehicle - 1- Arrest 03/14/2020 5:44am Telegraph Rd. & W Ten Mile Rd. On 03/14/2020, Officers were dispatched to N/B Telegraph at Ten Mile for a vehicle that was going the wrong way on Telegraph Rd. Further information was put out that there was a Tow Truck that blocked the vehicle in and was waiting for police to arrive. The caller stated the driver was passed out behind the wheel. Upon arrival, Officers took over a position to block the vehicle in that was facing S/B on the N/B side of Telegraph. The driver was slumped over the steering wheel, the vehicle was in drive and the driver had his foot on the brake. Officers contacted the driver and told her to put the vehicle in park. The driver was confused and unable to put the vehicle in park. Officers had to reach into the vehicle shut the vehicle off and remove the keys from the ignition. The driver was asked to perform several sobriety tests and to take a PBT Test. The result of the PBT indicated intoxication. The driver was taken into custody for OWI and transported to the hospital where a Search Warrant was obtained and a blood draw was completed. A bottle of wine and a cup with suspected wine was in the vehicle and taken as evidence.

female. The male and female sat in the vehicle for a few moments before R/P and another employee approached the vehicle, at which point the male put the vehicle into reverse and fled the area W/B on Ten Mile Rd. Dispatch ran the plate on suspect vehicle and it returned to a residence in Southfield. Officers went to the address and conducted an area check and were unable to locate the vehicle or subjects.

Special Attention: Death Investigation 03/12/2020 9:36am 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy (Hotel) Several Officers were dispatched to Hotel in the 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. (Hotel) on a welfare check. The caller stated she spoke to the subject at 7:00am and he told her he was depressed and was going to get drunk and high. There was no answer at the door. Officers obtained a room key and made entry due to the exigence circumstances. A W/M was located and unresponsive. There was drug paraphernalia and suspected heroin in plain view. Officers administered Narcan to the subject and called for life support. The male did not regain consciousness and was pronounced deceased. The Detective Bureau was notified and responded to the scene to investigate. Evidence on scene indicates possible overdose.

Special Attention: MDOP 03/14/2020 1:30am 23000 Providence Dr. (Apartments) On 3/14/2020 Officer was dispatched to the 23000 Block of Providence (Apartment Complex) for and MDOP Report. Damage was caused to victims Ford Fusion which was parked in secure resident garage. Resident's must uses a key card to gain access to the parking area. It appears that the incident occurred sometime in the early morning hours after 1:00am. Suspect keyed the entire vehicle, broke both side mirror’s, broke front passenger door handle, taillights, keyed rear passenger glass & poured armor-all into the gas tank. R/P believes that the suspect is her boyfriend’s ex- girlfriend. She contacted him today and told him she did it. R/P has also received threatening text messages from suspect. The suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

Special Attention: Stolen License Plates: There were 3- Incidents this past week where Michigan License Plates were stolen from citizens vehicles. Two of the incidents occurred at same Apartment Complex in the 20000 Block of Wakefield Way and 20000 Block of Camden Square. See incidents below: 1) 03/09/2020 Between 6:00pm- 7:33am 20000 Block of Wakefield Way (Apartments)

R/P states she parked her car on 03/08/2020 at approx. 6:00pm, and her plate was attached to her vehicle. When she returned to her vehicle on 03/09/2020 at 7:00am, her license plate was missing. Victims vehicle was parked in her car port in the parking lot directly in front of her apartment. Status
