What is an interior Designer?

An interior designer is someone who designs and furnishes a home for a client.

Education

• There are two ways an interior designer can get an education:

1. Interior design certification program• To be accepted in an interior design school you will

have to submit a portfolio with examples of your furniture design and color and fabric samples.

Or2. You could complete a four year bachelor program.

Job Duties

• Your main job duty will be to make your client happy. But in order to do that you need inspiration.

Ways to get Inspiration:• Model homes• Television• Going to stores• Yard sales

• To become an interior designer you must go through an interior design certification program, or complete a bachelors degree.
