Installation for PowerPack Ultra Power System

   

 

3. Remove battery from cardboard

1. Open the unit by removing the (2)thumbscrews on each side of the topcover

Standard Contents:- Cart (fully assembled)- Battery- Trashcan holder &green can

The PowerPack Ultra Portable Power System will be received in 1 piece.

• There is (1) power switch located at front of unit• There are (2) power outlets to plug your equipment into

at front of unit• There is (1) power cord (included) for charging the unit• Hardware for battery connection included

Tools Required: (1) Philips-head screwdriver

2. Slide back the black boot on the blacknegative (-) cable

How to use the PowerPack Ultra Power System:

       

 

 

3. Using thescrewdriver, removethe screw andhardware from thenegative (-) batteryterminal

7. Place trash can in holder

4. Place hardwareon screw as shown

6. Clip nylon straps tosecure battery in cabinet

5. Insert thescrew throughthe ringconnector ofblack cable asshown

6. Place screw in negative (-) battery terminaland securely tighten with screwdriver

Note: Sparking is normal for first connection

7. Slide black boot over the terminal asshown

Put top cover back on and tighten thumbscrews

How to charge the unit:

 

   

 

2. Turn the power switch to the OFF position("O")

1. Plug yourequipment(thermal printer,laptop, etc.) intothe front poweroutlets

2. Turn the powerswitch to the ONposition ("I")

The switch should illuminate 3. Firmly plug the female end of the charge

cord to the side of the unit as shown

4. Plug the charge cord to wall outlet

Operating Tips:

• Charge your battery before using it toensure it is fully charged. Turn off theunit, and simply plug the charger cord(located on side of unit) into a standardwall unit

• Monitor the battery status meter

• Batteries should not be discharged below11.5 volts as this will shorten the life ofthe battery

• Unit should be charged as soon aspossible after each use (otherwise itwill void the warranty).

• Batteries SHOULD NOT be stored in adischarged state for more than 1 or 2days. If left in a discharged state longer,it will damage battery and it may nolonger take a charge

• When the unit is not in use, turn the unitto the OFF position. The system chargermay be plugged into a wall outletindefinitely

• Operate in temperatures between 32°-100° F

• Avoid exposing battery to heat, servicelife is shortened by temperatures above85° F

• Keep unit well ventilated. For propercooling, allow at least 2” of clearance

• Keep unit clean and free of dust and dirt

• For indoor use only. Keep unit dry at alltimes

• Battery should be disposed of properly

Green Light = Charged

Note: • Full charge can

take up to 10hours

• Unit will not powerequipment whilecharge cord isplugged in

• Operating time will vary depending on the charge levelof the battery, and the power consumption of a givendevice(s)

• Alarms and automatic shutdown are normal safetyfunctions of this unit, indicating either outlet overloador low battery voltage. If alarm sounds and/or the unithas shut down and will not turn on . . .

o Reduce wattage load and/or rechargebattery

o Toggle ON/OFF switch 3 to 4 times, endingin the ON position (“I”)

• This equipment contains components that tend toproduce arcs or sparks.

o To prevent fire or explosion, do not install theinverter in compartments containing batteriesor flammable materials, or in locations thatrequire ignition-protected equipment.

o These locations include any space containinggasoline-powered machinery, fuel tanks, aswell as joints, fittings, or other connectionsbetween components of a fuel system.

• RISK OF DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT: OUTPUT ISNONSINUSOIDAL

o Some chargers for small nickel-cadmiumbatteries can be damaged if connected to thisunit. Do not use the inverter with the followingappliances:

§ Small battery-operated appliances likerechargeable flashlights, somerechargeable shavers, and night lightsthat are plugged directly into an ACreceptacle to recharge.

§ Battery chargers used in hand powertools. These chargers display awarning label stating that dangerousvoltages are present at the chargerbattery terminals.

• AC Input: 100-240VAC, 50/60 Hz,1.5A max

• AC Output: 120V/60 Hz, PWM SineWave, 375 watts continuous outputpower; 600 watts peak output power(instantaneous)

• For storage longer than 2 weekswithout charging: Unit should befully charged then battery should bedisconnected
