Powerbox 2 Land Rover/Discovery TD5 F ITTING I NSTRUCTIONS Under the bonnet: Firstly, remove the plastic engine cover, shown in photo 1. Next, locate the black plastic connector, shown in photo 2. The connector is located on the left-hand side of the cylinder head (viewed from in front of the car, looking into the engine bay). Next, remove the female connector from the cylinder head and mate it to the male connector from the Powerbox 2. Now, mate the Powerbox 2 female connector to the male con- nector from the cylinder head. Connect the long black wire from the Powerbox 2 to an earth point on the vehicle’s chassis, or to the battery negative (“-” or black) terminal. (Photo 3) Connect the red wire from the Powerbox 2 to the battery positive (“+” or red) terminal. (Photo 3) Finally, secure the Powerbox 2 in a dry location, away from excessive heat and vibration; for example, wrapped in “bub- blewrap” and tucked beside the air filter. The short black wire is for connection to an optional on/off switch (switched to ground), which switches the Powerbox 2 on and off, if required. Engine cover 1. 2. 3.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

Under the bonnet:

Firstly, remove the plastic engine cover, shown in photo 1.

Next, locate the black plastic connector, shown in photo 2.

The connector is located on the left-hand side of the cylinder

head (viewed from in front of the car, looking into the engine

bay).

Next, remove the female connector from the cylinder head and

mate it to the male connector from the Powerbox 2.

Now, mate the Powerbox 2 female connector to the male con-

nector from the cylinder head.

Connect the long black wire from the Powerbox 2 to an earth

point on the vehicle’s chassis, or to the battery negative (“-” or

black) terminal. (Photo 3)

Connect the red wire from the Powerbox 2 to the battery

positive (“+” or red) terminal. (Photo 3)

Finally, secure the Powerbox 2 in a dry location, away from

excessive heat and vibration; for example, wrapped in “bub-

blewrap” and tucked beside the air filter.
