Why Are Charger Improvements Needed? Why Are Charger Improvements Needed?

• Conventional chargers are time-consuming, costly due to need for

battery handling rooms, and require constant supervision.

• Fast chargers impact battery capacity, performance and lifetimes

due

to damage from over-heating and under-charging.

• Battery is under-utilized as primary charge is in the 20-70%

range, reducing the amount of Ah available for use.

• Fast-chargers require special batteries to lower resistance and enable

better heat transfer.

• Safety risks increase as fast chargers drive battery temperature to

unsafe levels without monitoring equipment.
