Plan for 2013 Format: In response to many requests, the 2013 conference will be held over two days, featuring morning plenary sessions and afternoon stream sessions on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 June. There will be workshops as an adjunct to the main event on Tuesday 18 and Friday 21 June. This will deliver greater value to speakers by concentrating the participants over two days (as against five previously) and also help both our speakers and sponsors make the most use of their time. Formats to be employed include live on stage interviews and an informal ‘chat show’ style panel that will enable free flowing and open discussion about the real issues. The chair and interviewer for the morning plenary will be a recognised professional broadcast or newssheet journalist and will be encouraged to challenge the speakers on the key issues and provoke genuine debate. Content The content of the World NOC Congress is to be exclusively high level, with a focus on the big picture, strategic challenges and opportunities facing National Oil Companies and their partners. Dominant themes in 2013 will include the evolving nature of NOC/IOC partnerships, the role of gas, frontier and deepwater resources, NOC’s long term visions and how they plan to achieve them, and the role of technology. Generic corporate presentations will be strictly forbidden. Bilateral meetings: We recognise that a key reason many people participate is the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings. Terrapinn has a team of networking managers that will be on hand to assist in arranging private bilateral meetings for our key speakers and sponsors. We’re also pleased to announce a significant upgrade to the meeting system with our dedicated networking managers being complemented by sophisticated confidential meeting arrangement software. We are also taking the initiative to reserve several private meeting rooms at the event venue which will be allocated to our key speakers and sponsors. Keynotes: Early confirmed speakers for the 2013 edition include
Bob Dudley
CEO BP
Peter Voser
CEO Shell
Jeroen van der Veer
former CEO Shell
