The Technology Risk Partner position provides value by delivering outstanding digital and technology risk advice as a Line-2 risk professional, with this outstanding risk advice delivered in two areas:

Digital and Technology Risk: maintain a complete and accurate view of current and emerging digital and technology risks throughout the extended iag enterprise and support the successful treatment of these risks by risk / control owners according to business objectives, appetite and tolerances; and,

Operational risk: maintain a complete and accurate view of current and emerging operational risks for the Digital Labs function in iag Australia and support the successful treatment of these risks by risk / control owners according to business objectives, appetite and tolerances.

Key Role Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact to the digital and technology organisation for risk matters and offer advise directly or connect with the appropriate specialist risk function;

Utilise digital and technology subject matter expertise, together with risk and advisory skills to enable the complete and accurate identification, analysis and evaluation of digital and technology risks for iag Australia and achieve consensus on treatment actions;

Utilise knowledge of broader operational risk, together with advisory skills to enable the complete and accurate identification, analysis and evaluation of operational risks and achieve consensus on treatment actions;

Conduct risk-based assurance of digital and technology controls for iag Australia, including key iag partners and similar risk-based assurance of non-technology operational controls (incl. Change initiatives) for the iag Australia digital and technology organisation;

Conduct all activities according to the Technology Risk Management framework, assist with both the continuous improvement of this framework and the alignment with IAG risk management strategy and associated policy and procedure;

Contribute to insights on emerging risks, and contribute to insightful, timely and meaningful risk reporting. Participate in incident management reviews and develop insights that contribute to reductions in incidents; and,

Raise awareness of risk and control concepts and actively participate in internal risk forums and maintain active internal networks.

Eligibility Requirements

Currently studying in their final or penultimate year of a relevant undergraduate or post-graduate degree with an Australian university
