ROLE The purpose of the role is to provide a professional and enthusiastic service within the School’s front reception area, monitor stationery supplies and purchasing, accounts receivable, clerical and general office support to ensure that the administrative function of the School continues to be efficient and effective. The duties and responsibility of this role are intended to be wide in their interpretation and will be constantly reviewed in line with the changing nature of the School’s operational requirements and environment. Welfare Health & Safety – compliance to all safety policies and procedures GENERAL SELECTION CRITERIA The Receptionist / Administration Assistant will be able to demonstrate:

• professional skills and mannerisms in relating to, and communicating with, students, staff and parents;

• outstanding negotiating and organisational skills; • support for independent education and the School ethos;

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA The Receptionist / Administration Assistant will:

• possess appropriate qualifications (certificate in accounting preferred); • have a proven record of being able to work as a team member • be able to demonstrate flexibility and initiative; • have experience in negotiating with students, parents and staff; • Good understanding of Microsoft Office and Excel • Other duties as directed

RESPONSIBILITIES: To contribute to the effective and efficient financial administration of the School by taking particular responsibility for: Reception:

• Responsible for assisting with reception duties on a day to day basis; • Assist with first aid when required; • Ordering and monitoring stationery, supplies, copy paper, first aid supplies and

printed material; • Organising distribution of delivered items; • Music Administration Support • Open communication at hand over time; • Assist with other duties as required;

The selection of the successful candidate will be based on how well that person is able to meet the key responsibilities listed above, in terms of abilities, experience, personal qualities and educational philosophy.
