Day 1 From Lisbon, travel northward to the medieval town of Óbidos, with narrow streets surrounded by walls. Alcobaça with the first and largest gothic church in Portugal. The fishing port of Nazaré with endless

stretches of beach. Architectural landmark the Monastery of Batalha. Arrive in Fátima, the famous Marian Shrine. Overnight stay.

Day 2 Breakfast at the hotel. Depart towards Coimbra invites us to discover its old traditions and university. In the afternoon, continue to Aveiro, the "city of canals", known as the "Portuguese Venice". Drive to Vila Nova de Gaia, near Oporto. Overnight stay.

Day 3 Porto is the 2nd city of Portugal and recognized as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Discover the riverside area, old houses, palaces, churches that history has made eternal and Port wine which is known worldwide. Your afternoon is free. Overnight stay.

Day 4 Breakfast at the hotel. Travel to Minho, the north most province of Portugal. In Guimarães, the birth place of the nation, visit the Sacred Hill, crowned by the castle and palace of the Duques de Bragança. Braga is the city of the archbishops and the country's religious capital. It has the oldest cathedral of Portugal and the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Braga, with its monumental baroque staircase. Barcelos, the town of the legend of the rooster. Return to Oporto and overnight.

Day 5 Breakfast at the hotel. Through a landscape speckled with granite houses and wrought iron balconies, enter the Port Wine region, the Douro Valley, by the way of Amarante and Vila Real. Stop in Lamego, overlooked by one of Portugal's most important shrines N.S. Remédios with its magnificent baroque style staircase. You will also see Viseu, a city of warriors and painters. Arrive in Urgeiriça and overnight.

Day 6 Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the heart of Portugal until Bussaco well known for the luxuriant forest, made up of a selection of rare trees and plants of exotic beauty. We continue to Tomar. The development of the city is closely linked to the Order of the Templars, which received these lands in 1159 as a reward for

the assistance they gave Dom Afonso Henriques (the First King of Portugal) in the Christian reconquest of the territory. It was Dom Gualdim Pais, the first Grand Master of the Order in Portugal, who founded the castle and the remarkable Convent of Christ inside. Enlarged and altered over the centuries, this retains the influences of various architectural styles; it is the centerpiece of the city and classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Return to Lisbon.

Day 1 Depart from Lisbon, crossing the bridge over the river Tejo with beautiful landscape of olive and cork oak trees and vineyards, arriving in Évora, World Heritage of UNESCO. In Evora, visit some of the most important monuments: the Roman Temple, the Romanesque-gothic Cathedral, Saint Francis Church with the “Bones Chapel“, and the University. At the market will see and feel the richness of product used to prepare one of the most elaborated and appreciated gastronomies of Portugal. Along the visit will also admire the diversity and authenticity of local handicraft with cork, ceramic and copper objects. Time for lunch. In the afternoon, free time to discover more of the city. Overnight in Evora.

Day 2 Breakfast at the hotel. Part of the morning at leisure in Evora and then driving southward passing Beja (stop) where the highest tower of Portuguese Medieval castles dominates the town and the region. Crossing small mountains we enter in the Algarve. By fields of

orange trees we arrive in Silves, the renowned town dominated by its red sandstone castle dating back mainly to Moorish times and by the memory of is former cork industry. Continue to the golden sands of the Algarve passing by Praia da Rocha to Lagos. Overnight in Lagos.

Day 3 Breakfast at the hotel. Stop in Ponta da Piedade and admire the magnificent view over the Atlantic Ocean, and cliffs whose shapes have been sculpted by the erosive action of both the sea and time. Continue to Sagres, a fishing port, for a visit to the fortress was the mythical “navigation school” forever linked with the presence of Prince Henry the Navigator during the first days of Atlantic navigation and the discovery of the African coast. Proceeding along the cliffs to Cabo São Vincente (stop), the most southwestern point in Europe. Return to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay in Lagos.

Day 4 Breakfast at the hotel. A last look at the water while traveling along the Algarve coast. The return trip to Lisbon will take you by the city of Setubal (stop), a major port and industrial centre on the north bank of the Sado estuary. Then the scenic route over the Arrábida Mountain Range, an area preserved as a Natural Park. Savour the sweeping views of the Tróia Peninsula. Crossing the bridge over the Tejo River, arrival in Lisbon.

GRACIOSA RESORT

Know as the black island Corvo is the smallest of the Azores islands. It is just 6.25 kilometers long and 4 kilometers wide with a population of around 500 people. Terms & Conditions When you book with JM Vacations Ltd., you agree to the terms and conditions stated on this page. (Payment of a deposit shall be deemed to be consent to the conditions.)

Bookings & Payment See your professional travel agent for information and reservations. At the time of booking a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 per person is required or higher depending on package. Full payment must be re-ceived by us at least 70 days before departure. If you book within 70 days, full payment is due immediately. If the balance is not received when due, the booking may be cancelled, and cancellation charges applied.

Tickets & Vouchers Travel documents are sent two weeks prior to the commencement of travel. For documents to be sent earlier by special arrangement, a charge of $50 will apply.

Credit Cards We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Ex-press. Your verbal authorization of the use of your card indicates your compliance with our booking terms and conditions and confirms your reservation whether or not you have actually signed the credit card form.

Cancellation or Change by YOU The following cancellation charges shall apply: 1) cancellations received up to 70 days prior to departure the deposit is non-refundable. 2) cancellations received within 70 days prior to departure 100% of cost Special fares may be non refundable at the time of booking. Acceptance of changes remains at the sole discretion of JM Vacations Ltd. and is subject to charges. A name correction, change of name, departure date or tour within 70 days of departure makes the booking subject to the full cancellation charge. If rooming requirements are altered due to cancellation of one or more passengers, the passengers still travelling must

pay the applicable rate for the accommodation to be occupied. JM Vacations reserves the right to re-sell any cancelled seats or accommodation without refund. Should you request a change or addition to an issued voucher (hotels, car, transfers) there is a charge of $50.

Refunds No refunds will be made for any portion of the ser-vices not used including unused accommodation and car rental. Air tickets are non-refundable, valid only flights/dates shown and may not be exchanged or transferred.

Cancellation or Changes by US From time to time construction and roadwork is unavoidable. If we have advance notice and consider the work will have a significant effect on your holiday we will notify your travel agent of the change. Alter-nate accommodation will be offered if the reserved accommodation is not available for reasons such as overbooking or maintenance problems. Cancellation or changes by us, of all or part if your vacation is unlikely but for reasons beyond our control, it may be necessary. We reserve the right to cancel or change all or part of your vacation but will endeavour to advise you as early as possible. In the event of cancellation or a major change; change of destination, departure or return more than 24 hours, or error in published rates; we will offer an alternative or you may cancel and receive a full refund. You must notify us of your decision within 48 hours of our notice to you. These terms does not apply if the change is a result of mechanical problems, safety, weather, strike or force of majeure.

Prices Rates are in Canadian dollars including hotel tax and service charge based on double occupancy (unless otherwise noted). Additional charges for airport taxes are shown separately. Prices are subject to change without notice. In the event of any change beyond our control, including but not limited to increases in the

price of fuel, currency fluctuation, or increases in government taxes, JM Vacations Ltd., reserves the right to surcharge passengers. If there is an increase of more than 7%, the customer may cancel for a full refund unless the increase is a result of retail sales tax or goods and services tax. No price increases are permitted after the customer has paid in full.

Not Included Canadian departure tax and other local airport taxes, tips and all other expenses of a personal nature. Expect to pay extra for beverages where meals are included on tours and at hotels. Gratuities to the tour guide and driver are not included. Comprehensive insurance (including health, baggage, and cancella-tion) is recommended. Purchase at time of booking. It is your responsibility to obtain and present for travel a valid passport and any other documentation that may be required by government authorities. If travel documents are not in order you may be refused boarding. Entry to another country may be refused even if the required information and travel documents are complete.

Consumer Claims Living standards and practices at the destination and the standards of conditions there with respect to the provision of utilities, services and accommodation may differ from those found in Canada. If you should have cause for complaint during your holiday, please contact the hotel management by telephone or in person, so that they may attempt to resolve the situation locally. Failure to inform neither the hotel nor our local representative of your concerns will preclude your right to pursue a claim against us. In the event that a problem can not be resolved immediately, consumers are requested to provide us, within 15 days of return, written provision of details.

Responsibility The passenger waives any claim against JM Vaca-tions Ltd., for any damage or loss of property, injury, or death of person due to act or negligence of any bus

company, airline, hotel, auto rental company or any other person rendering services. The liability of JM Vacations Ltd. for any loss, damage or injury, whether physical or mental, arising from its own acts, omis-sions or negligence is limited to the price of the services purchased.

Accommodation Pictures and descriptions in the brochure and on our website are representations and not a guarantee that everything will be exactly as described or operational year round. Expect to pay extra for use of facilities such as tennis courts, sauna, safety deposit boxes, etc. Regardless of flight arrival or departure time, most hotels have a check-in after 4:00 pm and expect departing guests to vacate rooms by 12 noon. Requests for specific room allocation can not be guaranteed. Special requests are at the discretion of the hotel, cannot be confirmed prior to departure and may be subject to charges locally. JM Vacations is not responsible if these special requests are not met.

Flights Flight times are subject to change without notice. Contact airline (or airline representative at destination) prior to departure to re-confirm flight time. If you purchase only airfare you must provide your travel agent a phone number to contact you in your destina-tion. Passengers booking connecting flights are advised to allow ample time between connecting flight and charter. JM Vacations cannot be held liable for expenses incurred by consumers owing to a missed flight connection. The consumer agrees to assume the cost of any loss in the event of a change to the original flight schedule.

GENERAL INFORMATION

We try to ensure that the information in our brochures is as accurate as possible. However it is printed several months in advance and the hoteliers or other authorities can make changes. Also, errors may occur and we reserve the right to refuse to accept bookings at any price published in error. We cannot guarantee that everything will be exactly as shown or described. Certain facilities may be with charge or not operational year round.

Baggage handling not included. Some hotels and apartments do not have porters to assist with luggage.

Some properties require a deposit for the air-conditioning and/or TV remote control. Safes are for rent (approx. €10 - €21/week) plus deposit, forfeited if the key is lost.

Star ratings are generally as established by foreign tourism authorities although not in every instance. Local standards are not exactly the same as in Canada. Our star ratings are for a guideline only. The “+” symbol means we consider the property offers a better quality of accommodation in its category or other special feature.

Regardless of flight arrival time, most hotels have a check-in after 4:00pm. Upon arrival accommodation may not be ready for immediate occupancy, please plan accordingly. It may be possible to purchase accommodation for the night prior to your arrival to ensure immediate occupancy. Request at time of booking.
