I was awarded fi rst prize in a design competition for the local council in Tokyo in 2006. I did more than 100 illustrations of my character ‘Namisuke’, also designing many different products and examples of packaging to sell in local council shops.

‘Namisuke bread’ were sold at Seven-Eleven in Suginami sity. 2009-2010

Now Namisuke is exhibited with other Japanese famous characters in many cities in Vietnam, Spain, Portugal, Australia, Philippine, Germany, France, Hungary, Taipei, China and Italy by the Japan Foundation from 2011-2012.

2010-2011 ‘Landmark 1966-2011’

Before I left Tokyo, I found a set of old photographs taken in 1966. They are travel photographs of my great grandmother and her friends visited to Europe. So I decided to follow her step.

I took self-portraits with strangers and local friends in front of landmark in London, Paris, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, Frankfurt, Pisa, Florence and Rome. This project is on going.
