MEANS´COMUNICATION

For me, the best ideas of communication are the paintings, by these painters express their feelings.

MEDIA´S COMUNICATION

The media are evolving instruments, most like the first

form of communication between humans was that of

the signs and signals used in prehistory, the appearance of writing is taken as

a landmark of early history from that moment; the economic and social

changes were driving the birth and development of various media from those

6

PORTAFOLIO

Page 7: Portafolio

related to writing and mechanization to the media linked to the age of

electricity (first half of the twentieth century) and the revolution of information

technology and telecommunications (scientific-technical revolution or third

industrial revolution since the second half twentieth century-), each of which

are essential for the different phases of the process called globalization.

The media are divided generally into three main groups

1. Mass Media: Are those that affect a larger number of people at any

given time

Television: It's a massive audiovisual medium that allows advertisers

to display their creativity because they can combine image, sound and

movement.

Radio: It is a means "audio-only" that currently is regaining popularity.

Internet: Today, the Internet is an interactive audiovisual and selective,

depending on product type and the audience it is addressed; you can

get a good deal of potential customers.

2. Auxiliary or Complementary Media: These affect fewer people at

any given time

3. Alternative: Are those new forms of product promotion, some ordinary

and some very innovative

7

PORTAFOLIO

Page 8: Portafolio

Finally, the media are very important because thanks to these human beings

can develop universally complemented in three areas, such as a bio-psycho-

social.

The virtual brooms are the environment in the WWW in which educators and

learners are to engage in activities that lead to learning. This should not be

just a mechanism for distributing information, but should be a system where

the activities involved in the process of learning can take place, ie to allow

interactivity, communication, application of knowledge, evaluation and

classroom management

Topic: DIFERENT FORMS OF FUTURE

Date: 19/05/2012

Name: SHEERLEY TATIANA CUASAPAZ HERNANDEZ

DIFFERENT FORMS OF FUTURE

There are two basic ways to create the future in English. The first is to use the word "will" before the verb in the infinitive, eg "I will run", meaning "I will run."

The second is to put "going to" followed, as in "will", the verb in the infinitive, but also must be placed before "going to" the verb "to be" conjugate, for example "I am going to run "it would be" I'm going to run. "

The former is generally used when an action is decided upon and promises, while the second is more related to plans and intentions.

13

PORTAFOLIO

Page 14: Portafolio

Sarah: These bags are heavy (Estas bolsas son pesadas) Tom: I will help you (Te ayudaré) Sarah: I am going to buy food tomorrow (Voy a comprar comida

mañana)

For denial simply add the word "not". In the case of "will" is placed before ("I will not help you") and "going to" back ("I am 'not' going to").

Will can be shortened to 'll, for example: I'll help you.

I'll - I willyou'll - you willshe'll - she willhe'll - he willwe'll - we willthey'll - they will

Will not will not be abbreviated, for example: I will not help you.

The future, in the Castilian verbs has its complications. This does not occur in English! Will precede the verb and is over. So I goes home (he goes home) is, in future, I will go home (he will go home).

Shall     * The same as will, Marshall helps the verb to indicate the future. This form is generally used for the first person, singular and plural (I, We), as will be left for the others.

     * WILL or SHALL, before any verbal form, means that it is in future.

I shall go (Yo iré) You will go (Tú irás, usted irá) He, she, it will go (El, ella, ello irá) We shall go (Nosotros iremos) You will go (Vosotros iréis, ustedes irán) They will go (Ellos, ellas irán)

NURSING

When I decided to start my life after high school my best option was ENFERMERI, I like it because it is a humanitarian career and kind, I'm happy helping others without anything in return is the true vocation.

Nursing Career Is guided by the MSC Ruth Salgado, with the help of Licda. Doris they are what make things work successfully

The nursing profession was driven by Florens Nightingale in the Crimean War as the soldiers were wounded in the war she and healed by the warmth of his heart, Also, some

medications such as analgesics in this war were discovered by the captain. Some models of patient care were developed in this occasion to be exposed by Orentns, Virginia Henderson and other nurses.

DISASTERS

The term disaster refers to the enormous damages caused by events or natural phenomena like earthquakes, floods, landslides, deforestation, pollution and others

Natural phenomena such as rain, earthquakes, hurricanes or wind, they become disasters when they exceed a limit of normal, usually measured by a

20

PORTAFOLIO

parameter. This varies depending on the type of phenomenon may be the Seismic Moment Magnitude (Mw), the Richter scale for earthquakes, the Saphir-Simpson scale for hurricanes

finally disasters are not natural phenomena are natural. Disasters are always presented by the action of man in his environment. For example, a hurricane in the middle of the ocean is not a disaster, unless you stop by a ship, but they are very dangerous desert way.

TYPE 2 CONDITIONAL SENTENCES

1. Form

In a Type 2 conditional sentence, the tense in the ‘if’ clause is the simple past, and the tense in the main clause is the present conditional:

‘IF’ CLAUSE MAIN CLAUSE

If + simple pastIf it rainedIf you went to bed earlier

Present conditionalyou would get wetyou wouldn’t be so tired.

Present conditional, form

The present conditional of any verb is composed of two parts – the modal auxiliary would + the infinitive of the main verb (without ‘to’.)

Subject would infinitive without

24

Page 25: Portafolio

to

She would learn

Affirmative

I would go

Negative

I wouldn’t ask

Interrogative

Would she come?

Interrogative negative

Wouldn’t they accept?

Would: Contractions of would

In spoken English, would is contracted to ‘d.

I’d We’d

you’d you’d

he’d, she’d they’d

The negative contraction = wouldn’t.

Example: to accept, Present conditional

Affirmative Negative Interrogative I would accept I wouldn’t accept Would I accept? You would accept You wouldn’t accept Would you accept? He would accept She wouldn’t accept Would he accept? We would accept We wouldn’t accept Would we accept? You would accept You wouldn’t accept Would you accept? They would accept They wouldn’t accept Would they accept?

Function

In these sentences, the time is now or any time, and the situation is unreal. They are not based on fact, and they refer to an unlikely or hypothetical condition and its probable result. The use of the past tense after ‘if’ indicates unreality. We can nearly always add a phrase starting with “but”, that expresses the real situation:

25

PORTAFOLIO

Page 26: Portafolio

If the weather wasn’t so bad, we would go to the park (…but it is bad, so we can’t go)

If I was the Queen of England, I would give everyone £100. (...but I’m not, so I won’t)

Examples of use:

1. To make a statement about something that is not real at present, but is possible:

I would visit her if I had time. (= I haven’t got time but I might have some time)

2. To make a statement about a situation that is not real now and never could be real:

If I were you, I’d give up smoking (but I could never be you)

Examples:

a. If I was a plant, I would love the rain.b. If you really loved me, you would buy me a diamond ring.c. If I knew where she lived, I would go and see her.d. You wouldn’t need to read this if you understood English grammar.e. Would he go to the concert if I gave him a ticket?f. They wouldn’t invite her if they didn’t like herg. We would be able to buy a larger house if we had more money

NOTE: It is correct, and very common, to say “If I were” instead of “If I was“.

Dear Mr Cabrera

I see your ad about on holiday courses for children in the press

29

PORTAFOLIO

Page 30: Portafolio

It is interesting that these courses are proposed, because the topics are

proportional to the magnitude of the age of the children in our neighborhood

and would be very helpful for them to attend these courses and helpful for us

as parents.

But I would like more information about these issues, because what I saw in

the press is very little to make the decision to send my children to courses.

For example I would like to know what topics will be discussed, the courses

they offer, who is responsible for giving the courses, what is the price of

each, which includes both certificates, accessories and so on should also

take the children to enter it.

In advance thank you for your information, your time and help.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES ABOUT CELL PHONE

34

PORTAFOLIO

Page 35: Portafolio

It is for a fact that having a mobile phone now a days is a sort of a necessity

and it is an inevitable truth that mobile industry is taking everyone by a storm.

From the very basic thing of making a call to texting, and now internet access

for just a touch of your fingertips.

Do you have one of these? or do you know somebody who enjoys having

such stuff? I do have one of those too and I wont deny the fact that I enjoys

using them. So as one of the million subscriber of this technology I will share

you some of the advantages and disadvantages I found, out of having a

mobile phone.

First here are some advantages of having it:

It keeps you in constant contact with people you consider important

It can help you seek help immediately during emergency cases

Its a sense of being financially uplifted.

Through mobile phones you can lessen your boredom ,example listen to your

favorite music and as well as watching movies through downloading.

It can take photos

Mobile phone also gives us easier access on the

internet

35

PORTAFOLIO

Page 36: Portafolio

You can carry it anywhere

It has a lot of useful function like calendar, making notes, alarm clock, timer

and calculator.

No doubt, our mobile phones makes our life more convenient, but as the

saying goes every technology has it's equal negative side and mobile phones

are not so especial to be exempted. Here are some disadvantages of having

it:

Expensive

People spend less time bonding with there family and friends

People just contact through phone and became too lazy meeting outside

Disturb us on our works and studies

People spend lots and lots of money buying the latest model

Affects our body because of radiation it produces

Easily broken mobile phone makes it easier to invade privacy

36

PORTAFOLIO

Page 37: Portafolio

In the end, I hope you can weigh the advantages and the disadvantages I

have mentioned to help you use your mobile phone in a responsible manner.

We humans created mobile phones and it is all up to our control whether to

used more carefully and properly or not

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

Advances in stem cell research are expanding the field of knowledge about

how an organism develops from a single cell, to how healthy cells replace

damaged cells.

This promising area of science is prompting scientists to investigate the

possibilities of applying cell-based therapies to treat diseases, which are

referred to as medicine reparative or regenerative medicine.

The stem cell is one of the most fascinating areas of biology today, but like

many other developing fields of science, stem cell research generated many

questions and new discoveries.

Hames SAID. The study of stem cells offers insight into the mechanisms of

cell specialization. What mechanisms cause a gene to be active and do your

job and what mechanisms inhibit the expression of that gene. Cancer, for

example, is a case of abnormal cell specialization

Stem cells can be used to test new drugs in all tissues before the real test on

animals or humans and we could achieve to be regenerated and immortal, or

at least extend the lifetime of our planet.

to interact with the communication skills that bring the student's performance

in carrying out various tasks as stipulated in the teaching mode

Thus, communication skills will be manifest themselves in the exposition of

CONCLUSIONS

43

PORTAFOLIO

Page 44: Portafolio

Despite all the controversies in this field, it is clear that the use of stem cells

in the future has raised enormous expectations.

Well as raw material for regenerative therapy as yet incurable diseases like

Parkinson's disease, diabetes or chronic heart disease or as a vehicle for

gene therapy, we have only begun to imagine the therapeutic possibilities of

stem cells. However, it is important to remember that to make stem cells a

reality trasformen therapy is essential to continue doing research rigorous

and strict to allow us to draw conclusions.

Despite social pressure, it is imperative that neither scientists nor politicians

nor journalists nor society in general raise expectations that far from reality,

lead to frustration and disappointment of the sick.
