Polyagg

Polybed

The use of the Polybed and Polyagg drainagesystem as a domestic soakaway provides anextremely quick and cost effective solution as the high void ratio of 30-40% reduces the volume of excavation when compared to traditional natural aggregate soakaways.

It has also been demonstrated that linear trenchsoakaways offer an enchanced performance overdeep volume structures. The flexibility of thePolybed system means it can be incorporated into a wide range of drainage situations includingbio-treatment, septic tanks and land drains.

The Polybed system can be assembled at groundlevel and simply rolled into the trench, resulting inreduced health and safety risks for groundworkers.

Trench Soakaway DrainageStep 1If appropriate, remove surfacelayer for later re-use.

Step 2Dig the trench as per project specificdesign, including typical gradients of1:100 for land drainage and 1:40 forseptic tanks.

Step 3Place Polybed and/or Polyaggas per project specific design, allowing a mimimum cover depth of 300mm.

Step 5Backfill and reinstate surface.

The Polybed system can be installed to the rearof retaining walls and foundation drainage toprevent the build up of hydrostatic pressure.

The Polybed system also significantly reducesthe need for aggregate, expensive shoring andplant operation. With the added benefit of beinglightweight and easy to manoeuvre, the systemis ideal for use in restricted areas.

Retaining Wall DrainageStep 1Prepare area on the outside of the retainingwall, storing any excavated material for re-use.

Step 2Place and secure Polybed and/or Polyagg as per project specific design.

Step 3Backfill and reinstate surface.
