Next-door neighbours: Let’s get acquainted

In the spirit of Christmas“In search of a common way of

communication the youth resorted to using various techniques. At first, it was the language of gestures, then for their vneeds they compiled a mini-dictionary in both languages, finally they asked friends and youth workers to help with translation”

Colourfully and sportfully“The group, consisting of 18

people – half from Poland and half from Lithuania, worked on the issue of Polish minorities in the east. It was a great opportunity to develop knowledge about the history of the two countries and learn more about the customs of the partners. Guests from lithuania could improve their Polish language skills, and the Poles – learn difficult Lithuanian words”

Amici mores noveris, non oderis

“Art has never tolerated national divisions, it’s been something shared, uniting people and comprising joint culture heritage. Organisers of this project decided to take advantage of this dimension of art being above divisions. They initiated a meeting of 31 young people from Poland and Lithuania with the aim of developing musical talents and interests of the participants”

Building the future with the past. From Lublin Union to european Union.

“20 humanities students from Lithuania and Poland could explore the countries’ shared history. The base of the project was the Cracow-Lublin-Vilnius route leading through places of common history of Lithuania and Poland”

“The atmosphere was great! Yet, we still don’t know if Adam Mickiewicz wrote more often about Poland or Lithuania. We decided he was the writer of both nations”
