    Reserva tion Guidelines Imp ortant Dos & DontsAIR PNRs

    Name Change

    Do not use fictitious passenger names or speculative segments to block space to facilitatefuture boo king req uests.

    Ensure p asseng er nam es a re ide ntica l to travel d oc ume nts and pa sspo rts, inc luding c om pletefirst na me s in order to a void confusion and po ssib le duplica te bo okings.

    Please check GGPCALNCC and also GGAIRXX (or direct with the carrier) for name changepo lic y and to g ain nam e c hang e a uthorities for ea ch c arrier in the PNR.

    If you require the Amadeus help desk to make the modification please add the following RMto your PNR and then c ont ac t the Am adeus help d esk: "PLEASE CHANGE NAME OFPASSENG ER SMITH/ MICHAEL MR TO SMYTH/ MICHAEL MR. I HAVE AUTHORITIES FROM ALLAIRLINES IN THE PNR. THANK YOU ABC TRAVEL."

    Flight Segment

    Do no t c anc el an HL ( Waitlist ) seg me nt a nd reb ook the same flight as HK ( Confirme d ) in one

    transaction as it may cause confusion and reject in the airline's system. It is recommended todo t his in 2 sep ara te transac tions.

    Do no t canc el and reb oo k seg me nts for the purpose o f extend ing the a irline's Ticket Time Limit( TTL ) as it is c onside red system abuse b y carriers and may result in a PNR canc ella tion by thecarrier.

    When ma king last minute b oo kings or cha nges ensure Rec ord Loc a to r Return in the PNR andticket numbers are present prior to the flight going under airport control (depends on airlineac c ess level)

    Do not create passive (PK) segments unless there is genuine need for ticketing, to preventpassive seg me nt c ha rges from a irlines.

    Do no t mod ify seg ment s when PNR is loc a lized or taken over by a irlines. You m ust c ont ac t theairline directly for any modifications.

    Do not c rea te m ultiple trips in the sam e PNR as it may b e c onsidered a d uplica te b oo king inthe a irline 's system.

    Do no t override M inimum C onnec tion Timing w a rnings a t time of ET. Loo k for a lternativeconne c tions instea d.

    Neve r rebo ok a flight w hich has a lrea dy be en rejec ted as UN, NO or UC sta tus. If an a irline ha srejected the segment to you once they are not obliged to send a second rejection to thesame segment.

    Limit the number of waitlist segments of same sectors for same airline to avoid confusion ina irline syste ms.

    Tic ket Time Lim it (TKTL)

    Ensure yo u d on 't m iss the a irlines auto -TTL by c ha ng ing your TKTL to a da te p rior. It isrec om me nded you a dvise ticket num be rs we ll in a dvanc e o f the airline's auto-TTL in ca semessaging delays. In cases of last-minute booking/ticketing we recommend you contact theairline directly with ticket numbers.

    Ticket Numb er Advice

    Do no t insert d up lic a te ticke t number in SSR/ OSI, if FA/ FH element a lrea dy exist. Refe r to e ither GG PCALFUN or GGPCAxx to c hec k if the a irlines in your PNR ac cep t Ticket

    Numb er Transmission. If they do, ensure tha t a n FA e lement w ith the ticke t num ber is returnedto your PNR before you make any PNR modifications. If the FA is not returned please contactyour Ama de us help d esk.

    Plea se use the follow ing e ntry to ma nua lly transmit a ticket numb er to the airline's who suppo rtTicket Number Transmission. For more deta ils refer our he lp page >HEFH

    E.g . FH217-3645678901 This informa tion w ill gene ra te o nc e a t ET. If you mod ify a seg ment o r boo k a new fligh t

    segment relating to this ticket number you must re-generate the element by cancelling andre-ent ering it.

    Do not report manual ticket number using the FHA entry as this will only be sent to theva lida ting c a rrier. Please use FH(M) only for ma nua l tic ket num ber entry.

    PNR SPLIT

    Do no t m ake any mo difica tions to a PNR in the same transac tion a s a split.

    Ensure you have rec eived the RLR from a irline a fter sp lit p rior to m od ifying. If RLR is not rec eived c onta c t your loc a l Ama deus helpd esk.

    Record Locator Return

    Check GG PCAxx to see if ca rriers in your PNR pa rtic ipa te in RLR. If so, wa it for RLR beforemaking further mod ific a tions to your PNR.

    Mo st c arriers return a RLR within 4 ho urs, exce pt Sta nd ard Ac cess c arriers wh ich ma y ta keup to 12 hours.

    If a RLR isn't returned p lease c ont ac t your Amadeus help desk. Che c k with a irline if PNR c ont a ins mo re t han one RLR from the same a irline. Check time of RLR history (RLH) and PNR history (RH) to ensure modifications have been

    ac knowled ged by a irline.

    In c ase A irline loc at or is not returned , do not c rea te ne w PNR as it w ould lea d to d upes inthe Airline system when the PNR is synchronized later.Also refrain from canceling PNRs thathave not received the Airline locator. Report such cases to your Helpdesk for furtherinvestigations.

    SSR/ OSI

    Do no t use any o f the se spec ial c ha rac te rs/ symbols (*:;., # $ ?) in AP, OSI & SSR fields in thePNR. They a re not rec og nized by the airlines system s; henc e t hey c an b e rejec ted upo ntransmission.

    Ca nc el a ll inac tive o r unwa nted SSR, OSI & RM e leme nts in PNR to p revent c on fusion.

    Co nta c t num bers should b e p ut in OSI YY.

    Duplicate Booking

    Please ensure that no duplicate bookings are already created for the same passengerand itinerary.

    Verify pa ssenge rs name by RT/ PAX NAME befo re c reat ing a new PNR to a vo idduplication.

    It is recommended to query your customers if they have already made a bookingelsew here before c om me nc ing your PNR.

    Cancel all duplicate bookings BEFORE commencing your PNR rather than after to avoid

    the canc ellation o f your ow n PNR in the a irline's system. All multiple bookings where it seems impossible or unlikely that the passenger takes both

    flights may be c onside red as dup lica te in airlines systems.

    PNR Reuse

    Do not re-use an inactive PNR which has expired or has been cancelled for any reason(i.e. exp ired TTL, noshow, seg ment flow n, etc ).

    Instead, you may use the RRP entry to copy the passengers data to create a new PNR.For more det a ils refer to our help page >HE RRN.883

    Direc t Ac c ess

    Use the Direct Access availability display to book a seat on the airline participating inDirec t Ac cess (*) level. The sea t is gua rantee d upon End Transac tion (ET).

    Passive Booking

    Ensure tha t na me a nd flight d eta ils exac tly ma tc h the a irline's PNR. If you wish to c anc el the live b oo king yo u will need to c onta c t the airline o ffice, not just XE

    the passive seg ments.

    Test Pnrs Do no t c rea te te st PNRs on ly for pric ing purposes. Instea d yo u can c rea te PNRs with GK

    seg me nt o r use the Amade us pric ing b y mask functiona lity (FQP/ S op tion)
