salaries”

04/18/2023 7

Background of the Study

discrimination of female.

Problems of the study

• Difficulty to collect the information

• Unwillingness to express their salary level

• Respondents were busy in their task

• Communication gap between the different

personnel due to workload

04/18/2023 9

Limitations of the study

Lack of time: The time period of this study

was very short.

Insufficient data: We could not be

collected due to confidentially of personality

Other limitations: We do not have previous

experience in this concern.

04/18/2023 10

Problem Statement

Women get comparatively less wage

than men in the workplace having

equal skill.

Why women are earning less

salary than men?

Methodology

A research design is simply a framework

or a plan for a study that may be used as

a guide in collecting and analyzing data

Research methodology is a way to

systematically solve the research

problem

04/18/2023 12

Methodology:

We have conducted research through

exploratory research method.

We follow interview method,

observation method and questionnaire

method to collect information.

04/18/2023 13

Sampling Plan

Population: The population framework

would be 200 women. The research

project area is Tongi arena.

Sample Frame: Individual women who

involve in different work places.

04/18/2023 14

Sampling Plan

Sample size: The total number of sample is 50.

Sample size, n = 50

Z value of confidence level (95%)

from Z table is 1.96

• Level of significance 5% •

04/18/2023 15

Sampling Plan

Sampling Procedure: we have used the

probably sampling procedure.

We have used systematic sampling.

Every 4th number element will

include.

Data Sources

Primary Data Sources: Oral conversation has been done with different working women.

Secondary Data Sources:

Journals

Newspaper

Websites

Data collection instruments

The questionnaire with mostly fixed

alternative questions.

The respondents had to choose they were

strongly agree, agree, and disagree or no

opinion.

04/18/2023 18

Data processing The data has been collected from the women through

fixed alternative questionnaire..

At first the questionnaires has given a serial number.

Women answers are categorized

After that women answer are recorded in numeric figure

Finally we prepared a hypothesis response summary

table

Hypothesis DevelopmentH1: Gender discrimination does have a positive effect on

wage gap.

H2: Only educated women do not receive high salaries.
