What is Panchero’s Doing On Twitter?Twitter allows individuals and organizations to connect with people who are interested in what they have to say. Joel, the corporate Social Media Manager, updates and manages the Twitter account. Twitter is a great tool for:

Getting Customer FeedbackPeople who follow our updates on Twitter can send us messages about how they liked our food, what they would like to see us change, or just what they had for lunch.

Getting Involved In The ConversationWhether or not we are on Twitter, people are talking about us. It has helped us to get involved in those conversations. People love to know we are listening! Our followers on Twitter often reply to say that because of one of our updates, they decided to go to Panchero’s for lunch or dinner that day. Which brings me to one more point:

Getting People In The DoorsMore people are hearing about us for the first time, trying us out, eating here more often, because we are engaging with people on Twitter. Sometimes people will go to one of our restaurants simply because we are on Twitter. Other times, an update from us will put Panchero’s “on the brain” and they’ll decide to go eat there. Being on Twitter can generate sales! Occasionally, we will send a free burrito card or other gift to our Twitter followers. We give three people a chance to win a burrito each week with a Friday trivia question. All that we’ve been doing on Twitter should help to get more traffic in our stores.

What Do You Need To Know?People that follow us on Twitter may want to let you know they’ve found us there. Here are a couple things that will help you understand what people are talking about when it comes to Twitter:

Some VocabularyTweep or Twitterer: Someone who uses TwitterTweet: A tweet is another word for an update posted to Twitter. It is used as a noun and a verb (“I posted a tweet with that link” or “I tweeted that link”).Follow: You can click “follow” on someone’s Twitter profile to receive all their updates.

One Clear VoiceIt is very important that the Panchero’s brand be consistent, clear, and honest. It is for that reason that we want the current Panchero’s Twitter account to be the official voice of the brand. You are encouraged to learn more about Twitter and be involved in the conversation; If there is something you would like to communicate to Twitter followers about your specific location, you can contact Joel at [email protected] with details. People like to know what is happening at the Panchero’s near them! We get a lot of feedback from followers, mostly good but sometimes some criticism. We will address complaints (general or location specific) and pass on relevant details to you as a franchise owner or manager. Please let us handle the initial “Twitter PR” response.

How Can People Find Us On Twitter?We are sending out in-store signs that will direct people to find us on Twitter. Anyone can follow us by signing up for free at twitter.com and clicking “follow” on our Panchero’s Twitter page: twitter.com/pancheros. Once they follow us, they can talk back and forth with Joel, send private messages, give us feedback or share their stories, and it’s all free!

Be TransparentTwitter users (as well as any audience you might find on the web) are a smart group of people. If there is a fault to be found, someone will find it, expose it, and share it with everyone on the web. It is incredibly important to always be honest and as transparent as possible when interacting online. They can smell a fake, so don’t pretend to be something that you’re not. Let people know you work with Panchero’s if you are talking about us.
