a Playground Success Story

Principal Sam Slarsky, Falmouth, Mass., knows most

children prefer recess to math class. But he saw a great

opportunity to combine the two. Using Landscape

Structures’ Drop Shot, Mr. Slarsky developed a new

game that teaches kids how to double numbers in

math. The more kids shoot the ball into the funnel-

like basket, the more their points double. Through his

creativity and our flexibility and combined expertise,

we found a new way for kids to learn while having fun.
