Rain in reality
“Surprising cave” at Ha Long Bay
Almost 100% of our staff members ride motorbikes to work. It is worthwhile following some guidelines; especially for the girls:
Wear helmets with covers to prevent the dust or rain water flying into your eyes and cause difficulty with your vision.
Drive slowly and keep a safe distance from the vehicles in front, beside and behind and do not rush even though you may be late!
Avoid driving near big trucks or buses since their tires can throw dirty water toward you and restrict your vision.
At night time, switch the headlights on so you can see others and they can see you. The correct position to sit is without your feet on the motor or the bracket because if you do that, you
could lose your balance while riding, and you will not have enough time to brake quickly. Avoid using the hand brake since the roads might be slippery and you may fall. When riding through water pools, keep the accelerators stable with foot braking. Avoid riding through
streets that are heavily flooded as you do not know the water level. The safe water level is 25cm and not higher than the center of the tire. Any higher and the motor may stall.
And do not forget to wear a good raincoat like the Platinum Global one! ☺
Children’s Day – June 1st
Recently, after 30-minute heavy rain, some areas in Ho Chi Minh City and some big cities become rivers!
On Children’s Day, Vietnamese kids enjoy the day by receiving presents or going on holidays. All the staff members’ kids under 16 received presents from our company. On this occasion, we received the updated information of our school girls in the central of Vietnam who receive our educational support.
Grade 6 just completed
Nga is a introverted girl. Despite facing
many difficulties from transferring from
primary to low secondary school, Nga
made fast progress with her study and
results. Her two best subjects are
Technology (9.1 /10) and Civics (8.8 / 10).
Her health is generally good although she is
very skinny. ☺
Grade 7 has just been completed
Thanh Thanh is so happy with her results at
school as she made good progress compared to
her results in term 1 (from 7.1 /1 0 to 7.3 /10). She
has passed grade 7 and can move up to grade 8
this August.
Her favorite subjects are physics and literature.
Minh Suong is a lovely girl who lives with her mother and two younger brothers. She is in grade 11 and going to be in grade 12
this year. She wants to apply for educational university in Da Nang and she
is really interested in English and Literature. This is the reason why she wants to be an English or Literature
teacher. She always tries her best to study hard and get the best result. At school, Suong is a friendly friend and a polite student; therefore her friends and her
teacher love her so much.

The girls and I enjoyed every minutes on the beach during the last company trip
Hi Everyone, My name is Thuy Dung. My parents have 3 lovely girls and I am the oldest girl. My mom gave birth to me 27 years ago on a special spring day: April Fool Day. I know what you are thinking now...^^. No, I don't, I rarely tell lies, but you can… on my birthday. :D. I was born in a small village which is Uncle Ho’s Village neighbor in Nghe An province and spent my first 14 years of life in this village before moving to Nha Trang City with my family. Having been livingboth in rural and urban areas in different stages of life is the most interesting experiences in my life and a perfect way to nourish my soul (I think). I am on a boat trip in the lovely Metkong Delta
After leaving Nha Trang city, I came to Ho Chi Minh City for my study at university and after that came work of course. Up to now, I have been working for Platinum Global for almost 3 years. I have had many unforgettable memories with many wonderful colleagueshere, especially a very warm “lunch family” with a “husband” and his 3 other “wives”. I also have a chance to be friends with a humorous and skilled photographer who calls me a “professional model” ^_^. I would like to say one more thing before I stop talking about myself, which I normally don’t do. I have come to the conclusion that I am not good at any sports, although I look "sporty" ^^. I have been learning Aikido for over 6 months and I am still white belt now :( - feeling upset. But I can wrap flowers, cut one’s hair and dress hair…things like that.
With my colleagues during one of the company birthday trip
Do you know the above design of European clothes made by paper won the 1st prize at PG Fashion show?
Andrew Carr celebrated a thank you lunch with his senior staff last Friday. We went to a local Seafood
Restaurant
Congratulations!
All the best wishes to Trang Dang and Tri Hoang on their wedding day, Jun 16th!
May your married life be full of laughter!

According to Vietnamnews
The ‘You Cycle You Save’ (YCYS) campaign to change people’s perceptions and habits about using eco-friendly vehicles was officially launched in Ha Noi on April 10 and will continue through June 30. The campaign encourages people to ride bicycles and is offering promotions and discounts at 53 stores and restaurants in seven Ha Noi’s inner-city districts, including Hai Ba Trung, Cau Giay, Thanh Xuan, Dong Da, Hoan Kiem, Tay Ho and Ba Dinh. It also aims to create a network of destinations that offer preferential programs for customers who go there by bicycle. The YCYS campaign is organized by MBike Vietnam magazine and Green Destination, a group of university students in Ha Noi with a mission to reduce air pollution in the capital. It began in December 2012 with the advice of experts and support from Tea Talk Vietnam.
