Garden of Quilts Show ReportFrom Jane Thomason and Roberta Lee

We want to thank the Quilt Show Committee members and mem-bers of the PAQG guild for all their efforts in making our Gardenof Quilts Show in Homes a huge success.

We displayed 750 quilts in 6 homes. We sold 649 tickets to theshow and had people come from Colorado, Arkansas, Texas, Kan-sas as well as Oklahoma towns as far away as Antlers and Ada.Your quilts were beautifully displayed, and the guests were in aweof how talented you are. Having the show in homes generated a

very cozy environment where guests visited with each other andreally had an enjoyable time.

Financially this venture was very successful. Although there arestill some bills and deposits to be turned in, the Boutique saleswere $2606.25 and the combined ticket sales on the tickets to theshow plus the chances on the quilt were $3316.85 for a grand totalof $5823.10. When our treasurer, Wanda Sheehan, receives all thebills and additional deposits on boutique items sold at the Mayluncheon, we will have a new total.

The drawing for the “My Whimsical Garden” Quilt took place af-ter the quilt show ended on Sunday night. The winner was SueFuller from Antlers, OK. She was contacted by phone and wasthrilled to be the winner, but also very complimentary of our show. The quilt was mailed to her this week.

There are many fun stories for all of us to share at the guild meet-ing on May 2, so come to the luncheon to share in the stories.

Items from the challenge will be displayed and winners will beannounced by Patsy Williams. Also, items still available from theboutique will be for sale. Many of you were working as hostessesand did not have an opportunity to shop.

Again, thanks to all of you for a very great show!

Thank you for letting us be yournewsletter gals!

Love, Nancy and Natalie!
