Who Should Attend : This weekend retreat offers activity directors, activity assistants, volunteers and facility staff a chance to network and attend educational programs to enhance quality of life with their residents/clients. Continuing Education : This weekend retreat provides 17.5 contact hours of continuing education which will be accepted by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) and the National Association of Activity Professionals Credentialing Center (NAAPCC); however, these hours may or may not be accepted by other entities or certifying bodies. General Information : To celebrate the 25th Annual Activity Professional Weekend Retreat/Boot Camp plans are underway for a weekend filled with learning, networking and fellowship. Educational sessions have been selected that will enhance the services that activity professionals are providing to their residents. At this time the plans are to conduct this weekend event at Camp Ithiel in Gotha, (West Orlando) Florida. However, much consideration to the safety of all participants will be at the forefront of decision making. Space is limited to the first 100 participants. No registrations will be accepted at the beginning of the re- treat. Registration fee must be included with your registration. have participants exploring their creative side and learn techniques

to take back and share with their residents.)

1:00-2:30PM—Resident Council—Making Sure It Is Working

2:30-4:00PM—Programming for Clients with Alzheimer’s/Dementia (This session

will address how to keep the client with Alzheimer’s/Dementia meaningfully engaged.)

4:00-5:00PM—The “Senior” Cooking Club (This session will

show how to involve your “seniors” into a hands-on cooking club.

Special recipes will be shared.)
