Plainsman Summer reading program prizes awarded Library Trustees Kristy Jungemann and Glenda Maxted did the honors of drawing the names for the champions of the Huron Town library's Summer month Reading Program rewards. This year's theme was "Every Hero has a Tale." There was a 17 percent rise in persons taking part in the program contrasted to last year; an overall of 1,178 individuals signed up for the program-- 66 Wee Readers (birth to 2 years of age), 288 Kindergarten, 576 first to fifth quality, ONE HUNDRED Adolescents, and 134 adults plus 14 personnel members. 2 hundred and also forty prizes were granted to adults, teens, kids, wee visitors as well as team. Individuals of the Summer seasonChecking out program can tape-record the variety of minutes they check out throughout the eightweeks. This was done on a volunteer basis. The top Wandoo Visitors are Josiah Diocesan, 840 minutes; Elijah Diocesan, 1346 mins; Kaitlyn Micheel 3429 mins, Julie Hillside, 3431 mins andalso Sarah Wipf, 11074 minutes. These champions will obtain a book bag for theiraccomplishments.In a separate classification the Huron Town library personnelcontended for rewards. The winners were Beulah Decker, Dana Duvall, Eileen Deckert, JessicaSkorheim, Melinda Ellenson, as well as Leslie Brondsema.The Summer season Reading Program wassponsored by the Pals of the Huron Municipal library, Hamburger King,Burger Plus, Clothes Company, Dairy Queen, Dakota Stipulations, Do not Spill, Double D WesternUse, Fair City Sertoma, Huron Daily Plainsman, Huron Deluxe Cinemas, Huron Twelve noon Lions,Huron Sertoma, Java Hut, Maurices, McDonalds, PB Sports, Pizza Hut, Runnings, Taco Johns,Trussbilt and Wal-Mart.
