ideas, put some stuff on paper --- then go get feedback and input from everyone.• Build consensus, gain buy-in, expand the commitment… create a SHARED vision
of the future that the entire chapter is inspired to achieve.• Develop SMART goals, assign action owners, set due dates, confirm competence
and needed support, create systems and processes, focus on effective execution.• Review progress DAILY, hold people 100% accountable, ask for HELP --- be
rigorous – but never ruthless.• Celebrate small and big victories, give ample praise, thank people often, show
them you appreciate them -- AND… deal decisively with mediocrity.
