•  A society run by students, delivering speaker events, workshops and competitions to connect, build, develop and inspire students within the University.

Example Workshop: React Marketing

Layla-Jane Stacey; Founder and Managing Director of React marketing. Layla led a workshop on how to create a PR strategy for a business case study.

Over 40 students attended to learn about a range of skills. The interactive workshop encouraged lots of engagement and interest in a new skills set and helped students think about key transferrable skills that were important to develop for their future careers.

skill”

“Great Instructor”

Student Apprentice

Designed to mimic the BBC television show ‘The Apprentice’ .The contestants compete in weekly business tasks where they are judged by professionals. Each week only the strongest contestants will progress to the next task.

In 2014, there were over 100 Applicants, with 10 Contestants and 1 Winner who walked away with £500 and an Internship. This year, the internship will be given by a judge from a company as part of our Main Partner sponsorship deal.

Like most events, the Student Apprentice was held in prestigious University areas such as the pictured senate room.

Each event is filmed to increase the pressure, and to create promotional material.
