Brevard Paralegal Association The arrival of March means I'm getting older, yes folks, my birthday is this month. Local eateries and watering holes around the world will be celebrating the day of my birth, which just happens to be the same day as St. Patrick's Day. In case you didn't know, St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. And while my maiden name is Kennedy, it's not of Irish heritage, but Scottish -- my other common link with the saint, who was also Scottish. And not even named Patrick, but Maewyn Succat. Say that five times fast. St. Succat's day doesn't have the same ring. So it's a fun coincidence that St. Patrick and I share the day. May the luck of the Irish be with you! How do you keep yourself organized? I used to pride myself on being organized, but the busier I get the less organized I seem to be. I guess I was only organized when I wasn't that busy! A classic example is how I wrote down a few great ideas for my March President's message, but when I sat down this morning to pen (rather, type) this month's communication, my notes are no where to be found. Maybe I'll find them before summer is here. Please don't forget this is the last month to make donations to our BPA basket to be raffled off at the PAF Spring Seminar in April. This year's theme is "A Pampered Paralegal". Please see me at this month's meeting if you have anything to donate. Lastly, next month is our annual meeting and election. I'm happy to report that many of our membership has stepped forward and it looks as if we'll have a board in place for the 2011-12 year but there are still positions that need to be filled. This month's speaker is attorney Lane Cofer who will educate us on Injunctions for Protection Against Domestic Violence. Please join us on March 10th at the Suntree Country Club.
