Did you know? The House Corps has a Pi Beta Phi Foundation account that gives scholarships each year. In past years we have looked for scholars with good grades, need, and community involvement. This year we also implemented an application process, which was really helpful and well received.

Pi Phi gave two $4,000 Scholarships to two of our amazing actives, Charlotte Calhoun & Kristyn Jones and a $3,000 scholarship to an exceptional senior, Erin Hoya, who is not affiliated with Pi Beta Phi.

Capri Neurohr is entering her senior year at The University of Texas at Austin where she pledged Pi Beta Phi and is majoring in Nursing. Capri, the daughter of Stephanie and Hunt Neurohr, a 2010 graduate of The Episcopal School of Dallas, comes from a long line of Pi Phis. Capri’s maternal grandmother, Nancy Cartlidge Scholz Lewis, recently celebrated 50 years of membership and was awarded the Golden Arrow Pin; Suzette Scholz Derrick, Capri’s aunt, and Stephanie Scholz Neurohr, Capri’s mother, are also proud Pi Phis.

Capri is a Texas Cowboy Sweetheart. Capri and the Texas Cowboys helped the UT Austin Texas Alpha chapter raise money for First Book, a nonprofit organization, which donates books to underprivileged children. She cheered on the sidelines at The Annual Powder Puff Football Game against The Kappa Kappa Gammas. Capri is a member of Hosts After School Reading Program at Zavala Elementary in Austin,Texas where she helps students improve their reading skills. Capri has written articles for Arrow Board, the weekly Pi Phi newsletter, sharing the newest Austin trends and events. She also participates in the Pi Phi Intramural Team, a group of Pi Phi sisters who compete in

sporting events against other sororities and interest groups on campus. This summer, Capri works at Baylor Plano, on the Oncology floor, and Presbyterian Plano, in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she plans to pursue her Masters Degree, specializing in Neonatal Care.

Madeleine Sherrington is the daughter of Debbie and Kevin Sherrington and a second-generation University of Arkansas student. A 2011 graduate of Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas, Madeleine is a junior majoring in marketing and economics and is a member of Leadership Walton. She pledged Pi Phi as a freshman and made the Step Team with the AKA’s her first fall. She was also a member of the dance team for Sigma Chi Derby Days and volunteered regularly at the Boys and Girls Club. In her spare time, Madeleine was aninstructor at Art of Motion dance studio in Fayetteville. Her sophomore activities on campus increased greatly her sophomore year as she became a member of the Arkansas Pom squad. She performs at football, basketball and baseball games and will continue to do so in her second year with the Pom squad beginning this fall.

Madeleine loves being a Pi Phi, which has provided her a strong foundation at Arkansas and friendships that will last a lifetime.
