To set color using the toolbox:Click Set foreground color or Set background color button on toolbox to open the open the Color Picker.Click a hue in the color slider (narrow band) in middle of Color Picker dialog box.Click a color in the select foreground color field

The name of the large field box at the left is Select background color when you're selecting a background color.

Click OK (Enter)

To set color using the Color Palette:

Display color palette if necessary (F6)Click Set foreground color or Set background color button, if neededDrag color sliders as desired, OR click a color in the color ramp, OR create a color using the color picker.

Display swatches palette.Click desired color swatch to set foreground color.Ctrl + click desired color swatch to set background color
