A WORKING PARTNERSHIP WITH THE RURAL COMMUNITIES IN PHILIPPINES
BUILDING A BETTER TOMORROW FOR US ALL!
BUILDING A BETTER TOMORROW FOR THE SMALL-SCALE FARMERS WHO
WANTS TO CHANGE THEIR FINANCIAL SITUATIONS FOR THE BETTER!
THE FOLLOWING FARMING OPERATIONS AND INDUSTRIES ARE
BEING CREATED FOR THE ALEVIATION OF POVERTY IN
COMMUNITIES IN PHILIPPINES – GIVING FOOD SECURITY AND
FINANCIAL SECURITY FOR ALL!PHILSOCORDS plans to implement the following INDUSTRIES and FARMING OPERATIONS in PHILIPPINES, starting in MINDANAO:
MINING OPERATIONS: silica and limestone:
A CEMENT FACTORY:
VARIOUS LARGE ECO FARMING OPERATIONS: wheat, coffee beans, cattle, chickens, pigs, rice, maize, vegetables, fish- and seafood farms, cane … and much more!
PHILSOCORDS is THE CORPORATE HOLDING COMPANY of the different COOPERATIVES which will be registered (as per the chart below) of which these cooperatives must operate as INDEPENDENT PROFIT-CENTER COMMITTEESand
all the actual activities will be run and administered by ONE MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION TEAM to reduce costs and ensure excellent professional management of the entire group of companies and cooperatives.
PHILSOCORDS will establish various PROCESSING PLANTS for each of the different COOPERATIVES, such as PROCESSING PLANTS FOR FRUITS & VEGETABLES,MILLING of WHEAT and MAIZE and RICE, DRYING and ROASTING of COFFEE BEANS;CLEANING and PACKAGING of all FISH and SEAFOOD PRDUCTS; PICKLING and BOTTLING of all VEGETABLES, MANUFACTURE of TOMATO JUICES and KETCHUP; PROCESSING OF FRESH and CANNED FRUITS; as well as STORAGE, TRANSPORT, MARKETING and EXPORT of all FRESH or PROCESSED FOOD PRODUCTS.
PHILSOCORDS will employ various AGRICULTURAL EXPERTS (agronomists, soil scientists, laboratory technicians, etc.) who will visit ALL the farms in the different cooperatives to give instructions, advice, on-the-spot training, conduct field examination of all plants, crops and animals and to conduct tests and examinations in a central laboratory at the inter country project site.
Coffee grows best in an area known as the Bean Belt -- the band around the Earth in between the Tropics of Capricorn and Cancer.
Under no circumstances should it be underplayed as to the importance of creating LARGE-SCALE INDUSTRIAL FARMING OPERATIONS, staffed with MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL EXPERTS who are EXPERIENCED IN THEIR FIELDS.
World-wide, the results show how many small farming operators (and small one-person businesses as well), simply cannot survive the costs and the all-round multiple activities required of any business in today’s high cost and competitive market.
The days of a few chickens in the backyard together with a small maize and vegetable patch is no longer viable and more money and time is lost to those people who would better serve their families by occupying a good, nicely paying job elsewhere (if they can?), and to buy the families’ food at the supermarket and the butcher.
In the Philippines, as in many other countries elsewhere, farmers and farm workers and their families live by a hand-to-mouth daily existence and are leaving the farms and migrating to the cities, causing a vacuum in the farming sector and unbearably heavy pressure on the infrastructure and economics of the cities themselves.
This ongoing poverty of the rural farm worker problem and the loss of the rural farm worker is the focus of these projects, in addition to the problems of the loss of topsoil, pollution of the water and soils and in effect, the complete re-structuring of the way in which farms and farming is set up in the Philippines. The focus of these projects is to ensure that small-holding farmers can make a good living and become food-sufficient to feed their families and have stocks to sell in the country itself and for export as well.
There are 3 KEYWORDS which can help to eradicate poverty – those 3 words are:
JOBS, JOBS, JOBS
And we are talking about JOBS that offer living salaries and fair working conditions.
Poisoning the land and the water stocks by spraying crops with chemical fertilisers and pesticides, and the loss of irreplaceable TOPSOIL and ARABLE SOILS by old archaic farming techniques, leading to EROSION and loss of food availability.
And the wind and the rain play havoc with farm fields that have been ploughed far too often and have become loose and sandy and leads to this …
Another major problem to be addressed is the DEFORESTATION of the hillsides, which is also leading to major EROSION!
Our focus is to develop, implement, and demonstrate sustainable livelihoods and food security, through
permaculture and sustainable farming, caring for the land and for rural communities.
WE ARE COMING TO HELP … YOU!
